How many months can you and your family live off savings if year one is slow?
What happens to your health insurance?
What do you do with the old 401(k)?
How long does your non-compete last?
Then structure. Many people can start as a sole proprietor, and an S corp can make sense later as the business grows. Talk to your tax professional about when.
