The announcement is technical but the implications are straightforward, here's what changes for you as a miner. Faster results, no dead time. VRF no longer runs as a direct on-chain call. By moving onto ephemeral rollups, round settlement is near-instant. No more waiting between cycles, the dead time between rounds is essentially gone. Zero per-round oracle fees. This one matters more than it sounds. Every round previously carried a recurring VRF oracle cost that came out of protocol overhead. That cost is now eliminated entirely, meaning more of what flows through the protocol stays in the ecosystem rather than bleeding out to infrastructure fees. Better for miner rewards long term.
