Putin can’t afford to freeze the lines of contact where they are, it would mean admitting he’d failed to achieve any of his original goals for invading Ukraine.
Now he’s losing ground.
Russia can’t win on the battlefield, and they know it.

Sainsbury’s supermarket this afternoon. Got chatting to a lovely cashier. Cupping her hand over her mouth and leaning towards me she said “did you see what that attention seeking, lying bastard, Emma, posted on Twitter?” We both pissed ourselves laughing at you😂🫵🏻
Tesco supermarket this afternoon. Got chatting to lovely cashier, im guessing in her 60s. Swiftly conversation moved to politics, the total incompetents running this destroyed bum hole of a country. Cupping her hand over her mouth and leaning towards me she said, " there is only one man capable of fixing this, Rupert Lowe." I fully concurred

I’ll take a shot at answering one of these good questions. These poor young people are not dying for "no reason". They’re dying because Vladimir Putin's Russia invaded Ukraine and Ukrainians don’t want to be murdered. I hope this helps.

Here is where Elon’s rationale cracks:
1. Ukraine has long used Starlink for striking Russia.
2. Starlink and Musk has known this (they track EVERYTHING).
3. All this time, Starlink/Musk did nothing to interfere, even if it did violate terms of service (ToS).
4. The timing of Starlink and Starshield BOTH halting Ukraine support is telling.
Prove that @elonmusk and @Starlink knew Ukraine was violating ToS and did nothing about it and you have checkmate.
Replying to @FilmLadd
This is indeed one of the main reasons that Starlink must remain a civilian operation.
It can be used for infrastructure that is military, but it cannot be used for unequivocally offensive strikes that make it fair game to be struck back.
An adversary blowing up Starlink satellites would create a domino effect of destruction that would generate a vast field of debris making space unusable.

X is not an open medium; rather, it is a private instrument of power in the hands of Elon Musk—a billionaire with authoritarian political alliances who, free from any democratic oversight, decides what becomes visible, who gains reach, and what rules apply.
This is not freedom of speech; it is unchecked private power over public discourse.
Elon Musk needs to be locked up—even before Trump.
Seeing Musk turn fully on Ukriane, and saying Zelensky needs to go..without a word of condemnation for Putin, does say something deeper
Long story short, I think Putin has threatened musk, that he will blow up his satellites, this is why Musk has become even more loathsome

Yes. Documented cases include:
1. Aug 2024 fake Telegraph headline on UK Falklands detainment camps (~1.8-2M views); deleted after ~30 min, no further note.
2. $50M "condoms for Gaza" claim (tens of millions views); later admitted some statements incorrect and need correction.
3. Unlabelled AI/deepfake Harris video (100M+ views); no disclaimer or correction.
4. Fabricated USAID celebrity Ukraine payments video; shared then noted as fake by others.
5. Specific inaccurate spending figures (e.g., 40% Congress raise, max ~3.8%); limited corrections beyond general admissions.
Reach varies widely; explicit corrections uncommon beyond deletion.

“America First”? No. Putin First.
The Trump family and Putin are making deals while Ukraine bleeds.
Sanctioned company Novatek is secretly steering a $25 billion LNG project in Alaska. The CEO and other executives have resigned in disgust, unwilling to be party to the hidden Russian financing and violations of sanctions.
Gentry Beach—a crony of Donald Trump Jr.—signed the agreement. Putin is discussing the entire matter with Witkoff and Kushner.
US energy company execs have resigned in disgust as the Trump family is caught secretly expediting the funneling of $25 billion from a sanctioned Russian energy giant in exchange for allowing Russians to obtain a natural gas project in Alaska.
According to investigations by The New York Times and Financial Times, Russia's Novatek allegedly concealed its financial involvement in the American project through a UAE-linked intermediary.
Gentry Beach, a longtime Trump ally and close friend of Donald Trump Jr., signed an agreement with Novatek to pursue natural gas development in Alaska. Reuters documented the arrangement in February.
Meanwhile, Vladimir Putin discussed this cooperation on the Alaska energy project with Trump's representatives, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, during negotiations involving Russia and Ukraine.
The controversy deepened when Polar Train LNG's CEO, Joel Riddle, raised concerns about concealed Russian financing and possible sanctions violations. He departed in September, followed by other senior executives.
The Financial Times also described discussions about a potential arrangement under which Novatek would provide technology for the Alaska project in exchange for sanctions relief benefiting its Arctic LNG 2 development in Siberia.
According to The New York Times, Riddle and two other departing executives warned the Trump administration about the Russian financing and urged officials to investigate.
The White House maintains that the project was mentioned only briefly and that no detailed discussions took place. There is no established evidence that Kushner or Witkoff knew about the allegedly concealed financing. Polar Train LNG denies wrongdoing.
The central question is how a sanctioned Russian energy company became involved in a major American energy venture while Putin was discussing potential economic cooperation with Trump's representatives and a longtime Trump family associate was pursuing a separate agreement with the same Russian company.
Selling Alaska to the Russians or selling Ukraine to the Russians - to the Trump family it's all the same.

The @GOP must be thrilled that 11 days before elections, we learn that the Trump family secretly orchestrated a deal to allow Russians to drill Alaska in exchange for a $25 billion "investment" funneled through their proxies.
