I have had 5 major bad experiences hosting on turo, all 5 of the "drivers" have one thing in common. 4 of them have 2 things in common what do you think they are?

I needed to point this out, the phrasing of this story makes it seem like some big natural disaster, when they used the words "half ton of garbage" what less intelligent people think this is like multiple trash trucks worth when in reality this would be less than a single regular truck bed, and for 8 years of living, an average person would have produced 100x this amount, but the main point is the media manipulation that is taking place and I abhor it. woodtv.com/news/nexstar-mediโ€ฆ

One thing most cyber truck owners all know at this point is this will happen on a regular basis, this is at least the 4th time I have been followed or harassed this year... for over 15 mins I was harassed, flicked off, cut off, brake checked, this is the worst part of the cybertruck and it has nothing to do with the truck itself.

Where have I seen this before? ๐Ÿค”
This is ridiculous. The school should have organized graduation indoors. The graduates and their families deserved a nice ceremony. By the way, their parents are tax payers that fund the school and administratorโ€™s salaries. Being treated this way should not be tolerated.

Most people don't Recognize that getting a small to medium size bomb on a dam that could cause failure would be worse than any where on or in any nuclear reactor.
๐ŸšจWHAT THE HELL?!!!! Divers doing a ROUTINE maintenance check at the Converse Reservoir dam in Mobile, AL... ...just found an underwater IED!!!! Apparently a grenade-type bomb was sitting submerged at the bottom of a dam that holds an entire city's DRINKING WATER. It took FIVE agencies: the FBI, ALEA, the Sheriff, Mobile PD, and a maritime render-safe team, to pull it out and detonate it. Someone put a BOMB in our water supply... WHERE IS THE NATIONAL COVERAGE?!!!

Thats only about 2400 1 way 747s (assuming that amount of people would fit on a starliner, and you would likely need double the launches for fuel and equipment etc) realistically that's 10,000 launches that's 27 years at 1 launch a day...
BREAKING: SpaceX's board has approved a new compensation package for Elon Musk ahead of its record-setting IPO. The package includes: 1. 200 million super-voting shares if SpaceX hits a $7.5 trillion valuation and establishes a permanent Mars colony with at least 1 million people 2. Additional 60.4 million shares if SpaceX reaches certain valuation goals and operates data centers in space delivering 100 terawatts of compute 3. Elon Musk will not receive a single share if the company fails to reach the board's valuation targets Elon Musk has received a salary from SpaceX of $54,080 per year since 2019.

This is very true, when I asked my friends did they enjoy what they do a little over half said no, and while I do think that there would be someone that would want that job(s), it is likely that they will be some of the first to go, middle management, all repeatable physical jobs etc. will be the first to go. Another thing blpeople are making false equivalences to communism and socialism the reality its reaping your share of the AI training data...
Being against UBI is totally fine. But so many of the arguments people make against it insult my intelligence. For example, the idea that if people aren't forced to work, they will lose all meaning. Many people dislike their jobs so much that they would trade working just to survive for the possibilities downtime opens up. Since when do we find meaning in doing something we despise? Has work for survival become our new idol? What about spiritual work, reading and studying, teaching, family time, growing food, working out, enjoying hobbies, and so forth? I'd flip this whole conversationโ€”the fact that so many people think work is the primary source of meaning is a bigger problem than people having the option not to work. And UBI wouldnโ€™t make working impossible; it just means people could be much more selective about what kind of work they do. Thatโ€™s freedom and agency at its best.

Last weekend the @Helium Network moved more than 200TB of traffic. That's not just a milestone. Each level up raises the foundational floor for recurring DC burn. HNT is effectively backed by the increasing need for data every day.

the 10 year chart that explains @helium's entire thesis traditional telecom down 19.8% over 10 years while big tech ripped 944%. ok so here's what gets me about this: demand didn't even drop here, like people need connectivity more than ever and thats so evident. what actually died was the economics of trying to own everything. telcos kept burning billions on towers and infrastructure while shareholders just... watched their money disappear. and when you think about it, AWS doesn't own your servers, Uber doesn't own cars. > platform economics just work differently and thats exactly what @helium is doing rn > 90k+ operators own the hardware, carriers rent bandwidth when they need it. this is why decentralized infra isn't some narrative when the alternative is bleeding shareholders for a decade straight.
