Taking advantage of the same opportunity my favorite teacher did. We’re learning how to handle cicadas with care, ask questions, and make observations like scientists! The best part is that it’s all been initiated by these little learners! @FCPSLaneES

I vividly remember when the cicadas came out 17 years ago! We were outside at recess, and instead of discouraging our intense curiosity for these strange creatures, Mrs. Fielding, used our natural interest to teach us. @FCPSLaneES

Students (and even teachers...) were excited to see Principal @ccprahl working from the roof after meeting our Boosterthon Fundraiser goal! @FCPSLaneES

Happy Earth Day 🌎 @FCPSLaneES

Celebrating Earth Day with these “Greene” thumbs 🌎 We planted pumpkin seeds and lima beans in our kinder-garden 🌱🎃 @FCPSLaneES

Last week’s “Would You Rather Wednesday” disclosed whether students would rather see our administration get slimed or see them work from the roof! We’re 22% of students away from seeing admin on the roof, and $2,571 away from admin getting slimed! @FCPSLaneES

So far, our school has raised $9,929 towards our goal of $12,500! FUNRUN.COM is free to register! 28% of Lane students have signed-up, we need 50% to get Principal Prahl to work from the roof! @FCPSLaneES
