Fox: Why are you here this morning?
Trump rally attendee: Well, in the late 70s, I was a little too young to go to South America for the Jonestown Massacre. But this is as close as I'll ever get, so that's why I'm here. There's nothing like seeing a cult right up front.

Men's college soccer celebrated its move to a fall-spring season. But behind the scenes, there's a strong push to block it.
~150 schools have submitted rescission votes. The NCAA D-1 board will discuss today.

There’s also some irony here. Game recaps have historically been among the least-viewed pages on athletic department websites. There might be more people outraged about AI helping with game recaps right now than there are people who regularly read game recaps.

I have apparently developed another controversial coaching opinion.
If you join the cross country team, the cross country meets are mandatory.
I know.
Pretty extreme stuff.
And if there is a club soccer game scheduled at the same time, we are still going to expect you to be at the XC meet.
Apparently this requires explanation now.
What surprises me more is the outrage this generates.
"You mean they HAVE to go?"
Yes.
That's how being on a team works.
We practice so we can compete.
The meets aren't optional bonus content you unlock if nothing better shows up on the family calendar.
I didn't realize "athletes are expected to attend competitions" had become one of my hottest coaching takes.
But here we are.

Georgia State plays at Kennesaw State this weekend. About 23 miles separate the schools. There are approximately 20 Waffle House locations between the two schools.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Red Sox Hall of Famer and former manager Joe Morgan. He was a truly beloved fixture of the Red Sox, spending nearly two decades with the organization.
We send our love to the Morgan family.

Moving to Boston for September 1?
Welcome!
Now for the most important lesson you'll learn:
DO NOT DRIVE A MOVING TRUCK ON STORROW DRIVE.
DO NOT DRIVE A MOVING TRUCK ON STORROW DRIVE.
DO NOT DRIVE A MOVING TRUCK ON STORROW DRIVE.
You've been warned.

This is the comms shop statement. The real one will come after Trump spends all day watching cable news tributes to Dolly. Her generosity, her love of books, her acceptance of everyone. He'll realize he hates all of that, and that nobody loves him. And the bile will flow.
