"bullet point summary of what your code commits have achieved in the past 6 months":
Well, probably most impactful, I made a one line change to optimize encryption key rollover scanning to only look at needed instead of all files... had it reviewed by a co-worker, of course...
Immediately go looking for the "cleverest", most obscure one-liner that you somehow slipped by code review...

Elon Musk is also asking for up 10 screenshots of the "most salient lines of code" from Twitter engineers 2/
This reminds me of one of my favorite college classes, on assembly. It used a lab of Apple ii's with 68000 cards (so we were doing 68k asm, not 6502 - I know, cheating, right?). The class was learning how to interface with a mouse/kb/screen and build your own windowing system.
Oh, so he's just going to find the 80x engineers. That's surely going to work!

His theory is that 100 "hardcore" engineers can do a lot better than 8000 average ones. Possible that he could be right.

I was gold #1 several seasons in StarCraft 2 but never quite made plat before my wife put her foot down - playing was exacerbating my high blood pressure. Now my hands are too slow, but that totally counts.
So I only barely miss this because I got an m1 Air instead of a Pro...

These idiots sincerely believed that Twitter was being run by SJW commies, and not by centrist businessmen working hard to try to make money from an intrinsically difficult business. This is them being huge dumbasses, who use their considerable IQs to be 10x dumbasses.
Today is @holliebutler and my 27th anniversary!
We went from our families saying "maybe you should wait awhile to have kids", through "when are you going to get around to having kids?!?" to now, where this is going to be the last year we'll actually have the kids in the house.

“We knew for some time they were going to be doing that,” POTUS says when asked about Russia’s claims it is withdrawing from Kherson. Says w/ a smile that it is interesting that they waited to do so until after the election.

Does anyone know if pundits have talked about how Biden has actually done a pretty great job navigating a lot of difficult things and maybe people are happy to not have a weird fucking dumb-dumb lunatic saying and doing deranged shit as President?
Also, engineers, you really should work on that self-control and try to go to sleep at a reasonable hour and then you can get back to the exciting thing in the morning. You'll be mentally sharper and it'll be even better, promise.

This. He somehow seems unaware of or unwilling to care about suddenly becoming the most high-value target for spreading misinformation in the entire world.

My (Native American) grandmother called me 'little muskrat' when I was small, and we lost her too young, and I dunno, it surprises me how much the new twitter owner jokes in that direction bother me, that's all.
I have yet to post anything over at cohost, but at the moment that seems like it's most likely to be the direction I'll jump when the fumes from this dumpster fire get too strong: cohost.org/gregtitus

Please don't say that inflation is at a 40-year high without pointing out that it's lower in the US than in most other countries.
That means President Biden is doing a better job than most world leaders. Anyone expecting Republicans to do better hasn't been paying attention.
