The “NFL is trending this way” was something I heard often from Ryan Day defending the direction he’s taken the offense. It’s certainly not the only issue, but it’s been a total failure.

Maybe it's time for Ohio State to get back to college coordinators and leave the NFL where it belongs.

If you ever criticized the lunatic fringe for wanting this coach fired you shouldn’t be allowed to tweet we told y’all this coach wasn’t fit for the job for 4 years
Oh all of a sudden, people want Marcus Freeman! Every time I said that people had shit to say. Marcus Freeman is a Buckeye and would bring that winning culture back.

Can’t allow a team to come in the shoe and be the bully that’s unacceptable and for sure not the culture

Last thing you telling me Legend Bey isn’t good enough to get offensive snaps in meaningful parts of the game? I think the kid is super talented 🤷🏾♂️
Cut the head off of the snake. Ryan Day has been the problem. He rode an Urban Meyer’s culture for the first two years of his career and it has dwindled since.

Don’t worry guys it’s fine!
Even if Ryan Day loses this game he’s still 88-15 at Ohio State, and I’m told that’s good enough and all that matters!
Nothing to see here 🤗

There’s been a lot of talk about Ryan Day losing his fire, and I’m not even talking about his offensive philosophy.
From the outside, it looks like the Ohio State job is taking a toll on him.
I have no idea where his head is at, but I hope he does what’s best for himself AND Ohio State.
He’s had a hell of a run. Won a Natty. And I genuinely admire how much he cares about developing young men.
But this job wears on people. It happened to Tressel & Urban too.
If Day feels that fire fading, I hope he has the self-awareness to recognize it before the program suffers.
And if he DOES still have that fire, he needs the same self-awareness to recognize that things MUST change.
And those changes start front & center with HIM.
Ryan Day has ushered in an era of mediocrity at Ohio State. That’s the glaring problem that his supporters are failing to see. His impeccable record only benefits him. He has only one Big Ten championship, two wins against TTUN and a natty because his players called him out.
