I wish influential entrepreneurs also gave a fraction as much energy as they do arguing about capital gains as abolishing our brutal inter-provincial trade barriers making growing a business in Canada (and GDP) so unnecessarily difficult and also limiting to domestic consumers
We’re asking the very wealthiest to profit a little less off their capital gains — to pay their fair share — so we can reinvest it in the middle class.

Very interested to see where this goes with so many barriers to building quickly, affordable and sustainably living at financing, policy and zoning level. Government would need to support drastic changes to unblock real change here.
When the end of World War Two brought on a housing crunch decades ago, Canada created a catalogue of homes that could be constructed quickly. It worked. Now, faced with a housing crisis again, we’re bringing that post-war catalogue back – with a new set of modern blueprints.

Thriving small business make cities and neighbourhoods desirable to live in and visit. Not to mention a critical part of the economy that encourages innovation and self-determination. Levels of government should be doing more to support them. ottawa.ctvnews.ca/ottawa-sma…

There are SO many talented folks who had been working in tech and now will be figuring out their next steps. Despite the massive emotional and economic stress of the experience I’m hopeful we see a redistribution of these amazing talents into levelling up other industries
