Kicking off “What Must Remain Human in the Age of AI”. @dartmouth Thoughtful discussion between @sianbeilock and @miramurati on this critical topic celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Dartmouth Summer Research Project marking the launch of artificial intelligence. #AIat70
Congratulations to @jgebbia on yesterday’s momentous launch of america.gov/
Brilliant use of technology and design to allow government to better serve the American people.
Congrats @davidsenra Your passion for founders and their businesses is unmatched. Looking forward to your next 10 years!
Congratulations @ZachBDell and the team at @basepowerco on the successful capital raise and the launch of Base Core. Continue executing on your ambitious mission to advance human prosperity by delivering the world’s most affordable and reliable electricity. 💪
Thank you to @WSJ for covering the launch of Base Core and our $1B Series D.
The U.S. is undergoing a foundational shift in energy demand, and traditional power generation can't scale fast enough to meet it. Meeting demand this fast calls for new technology that works alongside the grid and adds capacity where it's needed most.
Base Core does just that: one of the largest home batteries on the market at 39.2 kWh, designed and built by Base in Austin, and engineered for rapid deployment at scale.
This new capital will go toward bringing Core to more homes, expanding nationally, and hiring exceptional talent.
The Series D is led by @RibbitCap, Addition, Valor Equity Partners, and @jpmorgan’s Strategic Investment Group, with participation from @AltimeterCap, D1 Capital Partners, Sands Capital, @coatuemgmt, Layer Global, and @EnergyImpact_ . Base’s major existing investors are re-investing, including @ThriveCapital, @a16z, @lightspeedvp, Trust Ventures, @CapitalG, and more.

Our philosophy in building BDT&MSD is driven by understanding where our clients need us most and overlaying where we believe we have a right to win. And the execution of that plan is inspired by Michael Dell’s advice to focus intently, execute flawlessly and build from there.
As a merchant bank, we train our teams to “advise like you own it”. The best advice is rooted in understanding your client’s core objectives. And often times the best advice is NOT to do a deal. Clip from my conversation with Greg Fleming.
Enjoyed sitting down with Greg Fleming for Rockefeller Capital Management’s The Blueprint. It was fun to discuss the parallels in our careers and touch on such topics as leadership, culture, and building enduring businesses. rockco.com/unique-network/th…

Very thoughtful op-ed by Dartmouth’s @sianbeilock on the state of higher education. Proud of her leadership on this critical topic. wsj.com/opinion/is-a-four-ye…
Pleased to welcome Adam Beshara and Erik Oken to BDT & MSD.
Both are widely respected for their judgment, integrity, and long-standing relationships with founders, owners, and management teams. Their experience and approach are a great fit for how we support family- and founder-led businesses with advice and capital over the long term.
Exclusive: BDT & MSD Partners is bringing on a Centerview veteran as one of its top executives, as the merchant bank grows its business advising and investing in founder- and family-owned companies on.wsj.com/49EVGPo
Huge congratulations to @DinaPowellMcC on her appointment as President of @Meta Dina and I have worked closely together for many years, and she is one of those rare people who combines sharp judgment, real leadership and an ability to get things done!
Meta is getting an exceptional leader. I am excited for her next chapter and pleased that Dina will continue to be part of our community through her role on our Advisory Board.
Dina Powell McCormick is joining Meta as President and Vice Chairman — she will be a member of Meta’s management team, helping guide the company’s overall strategy and execution.

Proud to see the birthplace of AI take this important step. This @dartmouth partnership with @AnthropicAI and @awscloud strengthens our leadership and supports responsible learning and innovative research across campus. Well done President Beilock!🌲
Our partnership with @AnthropicAI and @awscloud is intentionally two-way: we gain access to powerful, secure AI tools designed for academic environments, and in turn, @dartmouth helps shape how AI should support learning, inquiry, and critical thinking. bit.ly/4oyq8QS
Incredibly inspiring gift by @MichaelDell and @SusanDell helping 25 million children build a strong financial foundation and invest in America 🇺🇸
$6.25 billion. 25 million children. $250 each.
Susan and I believe the smartest investment we can make is in children. That’s why we’re so excited to contribute $6.25 billion from our charitable funds to help 25 million children start building a strong financial foundation through Invest America. 💪📈🇺🇸
