You’ve heard the story of the guy knowing his local HVAC co was owned by PE. Service Titan software, quotes that smell too high.
You’ll soon be hearing the story of knowing the local company is owned and run by AI. Their software will be unbranded but perfectly polished, and their prices will be halved.

Capital should deploy systems, not buy you a second job.
For true allocators, the operational grind is an unacceptable bottleneck.
ThesisOS is live.
You fund the venture. The AI CEO executes it

Spoke with several individuals inside Iran. Key observations:
- Most strikes appear concentrated on government and military facilities. Given the scale, direct residential damage has been relatively limited, though secondary effects such as shattered windows are widespread.
- The majority of Iranians do not support the attacks. The groups that previously protested the regime represented a minority of the population.
- Khamenei’s removal eliminated the central authority that had been directing the regime, creating a power vacuum in which more radical factions and ideologies are now competing for influence.
This isn’t Venezuela. Americans don’t support this. There’s no way out.
This may go down as one of the worst Presidential decisions in history.
PSA: if you think you’re special and have access to early stage startup investments via a side car fund, please know that this fund mostly makes money off their fees and their carry, not the shitty deals they bring. In other words, these are shitty investments. Stop thinking you’re an LP in Sequoia, and expect to under perform the S&P.
For iPhone people. If you’re thinking of going the iPhone Air route; I regretted it.
Why I chose it: Read how amazing the tech was, how fast it was, how it felt special each time you picked it up, how using the camera zoom out features are rarely used, how the screen is bigger, how light, etc.
Why in hindsight I would’ve went with the Pro instead: I have small children, and the zoom out feature on the camera might not be used often, but when you’re taking pics or videos close up, I miss the zoom out ability. Even if it’s wanting it once a week, losing a feature you got used to feels like a step backwards.
For the zoom out alone, the iPhone Air feels like a downgrade.
Unpopular opinion: Tesla Optimus adoption curve will be similar to their EVs. At first the technology will suck and having a robot walking around your home will make people feel uneasy. It took 17 years for Tesla’s EVs to turn the company profitable. I expect Optimus profitability will be on a similar timeline. Buckle up for a lot of hopium and missed expectations, while simultaneously sucking all investment opportunities from competitors due to fear of Elon. $tsla
So just learned that Sudafed is behind the counter because people use it to make meth.
Also just learned that Sudafed, which you take for decongestion, gives your whole body a pretty insane 12-hour high.
Meth heads may be onto something.. Taking a drug that’s meant to amplify that high would feel really good.
The delta of ChatGPT vs Gemini for multi-step use-cases is unreal. A few recent examples:
- large context provided for an RFP response. Reworked 30x with GPT to land on a 20-page well strategized, but too wordy, output. Gave the same initial context to Gemini and it one-shotted it with the same content density as GPT but did it in 5 pages.
- setting up an Ecobee in a somewhat complicated environment (use the G as a C from the air handler and setup a relay on the boiler). GPT had me going in circles for hours while I was calling out what it was not thinking through and it simply could comprehend the logic. Finally gave up and went to Gemini. One-shotted and had it working in 10 minutes.
Thinking of switching my whole company off of ChatGPT and onto Gemini. This could be one of the greatest fumbles ever.
