Karl (@killuarlll) was finally laid to rest yesterday. As this chapter comes to a close, I want to sincerely thank everyone who prayed, donated, shared posts, sent messages, and stood with Karl and his family throughout his courageous 13 months battle with brain cancer. Every act of kindness, no matter how big or small, meant more than words can express. Many of us knew him as krl. Beyond being a young mechanical engineer in real life, he was also a passionate gamer, guildmate, teammate, grinder, mentor, and friend. A familiar presence across Discord, @Ronin_Network, and the wider Web3 community, he spent countless hours playing, helping fellow players, sharing knowledge, and building friendships along the way. He was approachable, friendly, smart, witty, sometimes makulit, and had a sense of humor that could brighten even ordinary conversations. Through his kindness, generosity, and quiet presence, he touched far more lives than he probably ever realized. After 13 months of fighting with remarkable courage, resilience, and strength, the battle is finally over. No more treatments. No more hospital rooms. No more pain. But while his fight has ended, the friendships he built, the memories he created, the laughter he shared, and the impact he left behind will remain. To everyone across CGG, Discord, Ronin, and the many communities that became part of Karl's journey over the last two years.. thank you. We were fortunate to have known him. - We love you.
