I’m not sure how best to describe it, but it’s like my heart can’t go past this ayat. I know Surah Maryam and the rest of the Quran is an entire ocean but the weight of Prophet Zackariya’s dua for his son Yahya is so heavy I’ve been stuck processing it for years
“Surely my bones have become brittle, and grey hair has spread across my head, but I have never been disappointed in my prayer to You, my Lord.” (19:4)

I have exhibited so many AHDH signs today but I think I’ve finally exhausted myself enough to sleep so gn.
God I really really wish I was a less sporadic less spontaneous less impulsive less chaotic person. I am soooo tired

The UK under Labour is already more “blue” than America is I don’t get why people don’t understand this? Even the UK under the Tories is pretty left wing relative to the US. Liberals of one country aren’t equal to liberals in another and their bar is literally ON THE FLOOR
US go blue, UK go green. Life will be beautiful

Last point on this topic but I said *celebrate* for a reason. When the lesser of two evils wins in flawed system we should acknowledge the positive pragmatically while continuing to push for better, not pat ourselves on the back as our tax money burns the rest of the world
Ngl if my country was complicit in genocides and wars around the world (which it is) I wouldn’t celebrate ANYTHING in our political system (which I don’t) out of shame and the fact that we need to do so, SO much better beyond just electing people.

Witnessing a Pakistani and a Nigerian fight over who should protect the homeland of White British people was not on my bucket list for 2026.
Shabana has made a serious mistake surrendering to Labour MPs. So I’m putting people on notice - when we get into government we will scrap this weak policy. Immigration is too high. Labour are making a bad situation much, much worse. The Conservative Party is under new management. I accept this problem started under a previous Conservative govt. Many of those in that Cabinet have gone to Reform where they belong. And I’ve got a proper plan to fix it👇

Yeh don’t agree with this take. UK politics don’t require that charisma which is needed across the pond. Anyways the US is such a large country and the way its constitution is set up and run is hugely different how to the legislative system works here which means diff approach
The UK has 24 Muslim MPs - four elected on the basis of a pro-Palestinian platform. The four collectively lack an ounce of the charisma that Mamdani and Al Sayed has.

Imran Khan is a true son of the soil who is holding his line even in a debilitated state from a death cell in his 70s. He was a genuine annoyance to the powers that be. I enjoy the drama of American politics but none of that is real
18 years ago in 2008, Imran Khan had a vision & now it’s becoming a reality. Congrats Abdul El Seyed, Keep making us all proud, sending best wishes & prayers from 🇵🇰👏.

This is such an american take because they see their politicians as reality show characters and are deterred by anyone who doesn't have any showmanship whereas normal people (the rest of the world) support those whose political values align with their own. God, they're stupid

We have Sadiq Khan?
I am happy for the American Muslim community but so sad for the state of Muslims in Europe. Not a single Mamdani or Al Sayed equivalent. We need a revolution against low brow ghetto Democracy Iz Haram bro welfare is life culture.

Why would we do that when London under Sadiq Khan is doing better than NYC in almost every metric measuring qualify of life (transport, healthcare, safety, parks and green spaces, cleanliness, workers rights, housing, cultural access etc) ?????
Can London twin with New York and by twin I mean both of us should secede from our respective countries, join forces and then Mamdani is mayor of both

It’s a huge myth that American Muslims are much higher achievers than UK Muslims. It’s based on nothing other than Twitter told me so it must be true.

British Muslims don’t realise how good we have it because they’re judging politics based on social media clout. We take for granted just how accessible our political system is and how much more our rights are protected compared to the US, they’re fighting for what we already have

I actually agree with this sentiment, we should all be united together. But it's insane how much hatred against uk muslims is because of online propaganda by Elon. Would expect US Muslims out of all Muslims to know what it is at the receiving end of islamophobic propaganda.
Replying to @Drahnier0
I hate how ppl try to divide us and uk muslims like I see ppl try to divide us and uk pakistanis too its so corny

and what power do you get from this exactly
I dress for the male gaze because I’m power hungry. I understand the power of being desired. Men are remarkably easy to influence when they find you beautiful. Their eyes light up, their judgment softens, and suddenly you have them in the palm of your hand. And I enjoy that.

oomf ate with this one
Funny watching American Muslims think something great is coming because Democrats won. ‘Isa descends in Damascus, the Mahdi rises from Mecca, his army marches from Khorasan. When the dust settles, American Muslims will be remembered for matcha, vela & Mamdani pride parades.
