It may be openness 🇲🇽.
This chart shows Mexico significantly above the global trend in the percentage of people who believe AI’s benefits outweigh its drawbacks. The countries most willing to embrace AI may end up capturing more of its value.
Adoption follows belief.

Thinking about the application layer of AI, beyond agents, what excites me the most may not be on a screen.
Mexico is becoming the world's nearshoring hub. Brazil has the largest industrial base in the region.
Labor costs are rising, supply chains are reshoring, and the demand for smart manufacturing is exploding, but the automation gap is still massive.
The companies that bring AI into the physical world in Latin America won't just be building startups. They'll be building infrastructure.
