this is one of those rare, disorienting, electric moments in history where if you’re a builder, a designer, a founder, an investor, or just a thinking human, everything is in flux which is exciting af.
core systems are being torn down & rebuilt. the scaffolding of society is being rewired in real time.
what an insane time to be alive.

I’d love for @rhizome to be able to have a weird month of digital art at this space every year and the best way you can help make that happen is to turn up!!!!
Come once, come often, it’s free and there’s lots to see
Friday 6-9 and Saturday Sunday 12-6
Some behind the scenes footage from the installation of @rhizome world - an incredible experience with the best artists and colleagues
If you’re around NYC tomorrow come by, we’re open 12-6 , I’ll be there from 3-6
In spite of everything art is still a wonderful terrible pure hard thing

I've always been a bit of a map-geek, both real and imagined. @travess CRAWL conjours much of that childhood joy - tracing my finger/WASD over far-flung and obscure places.

Thanks for sharing! 🖤 Learning about procedural generation in games completely shifted the focus of what I wanted to make and how I made it. Would love to know what you were playing when you had this realization as a kid.

The brilliant EFAN megastar @travess has a new work minting today!
It is as much fun as you can have looking at art... and also it's smart as heck.
Working on a longer thoughtboi take, but I really think CRAWL illustrates how a prescribed mode of engaging with software (a *game* in particular) is also – sneakily – a prescribed mode of seeing. Lots of ideas in here to sift through.

Also loved the curator's note from @REAS ! Thanks to both of you for bringing this into the world! It's great.
