Introducing tiny.london
A massive isometric pixel map of London, based on amazing NYC demo by @_coenen from 9 months ago
My agent created the dataset, finetuned qwen image LoRA adapter, did a multiday inference run and built an efficient tile viewer!
I wanted to share something I built over the last few weeks: isometric.nyc is a massive isometric pixel art map of NYC, built with nano banana and coding agents.
I didn't write a single line of code.
This is what @raycast themselves should have been jumping on (being part of the fastest growing OS in history) but they seem sidetracked by too many side projects (app development tool, custom keyboard, etc). If you snooze, you lose
I used Reverse Engineer Anything to re-create raycast on @omarchy. And I was blown away! In just a couple hours I have a fully-functioning raycast-like launcher! Right now it:
* Learns your habits
* Apps + every Omarchy action in one search
* Aliases & favorites
* Keyboard-first
* Follows your Omarchy theme live, opens in ~40ms

By that logic abolish novels, guitars, espresso, and everything beyond state-issued nutrient paste. You are reinventing poverty as a moral philosophy.

Voltaire, as an exception, became rich by winning a lottery (in a clever way, with a group of co-investors)
...so maybe the AGI question everyone's asking is the wrong one.
New Neuropixels work shows the brain flips ~15x per second between conscious and suppressed content, even when stimulus and percept stay constant.
Consciousness looks less like a place and more like an arbitration process.
My take: millions of years of evolution stacked dozens of substrates that talk to each other over slow, noisy, chemical "protocols". Consciousness is the filter our brain needs to reconcile all that crosstalk and stay sane.
Which means a cleanly engineered system, with 1 substrate and precise protocol, may never need that layer at all.
AGI without consciousness isn't a contradiction, might be the default.
(It also explains why if this filter doesn't work properly, people can go off the rails)
1/ We discovered something totally unexpected about the neural structure of consciousness that overturns decades of thinking on its biological basis and brings us significantly closer to the recipe for generating conscious awareness.
