This didn't hurt me much. It did hurt a bit, but my diversified portfolio can easily absorb it. You know who was hurt the most? The average Joe. The people who had most of their wealth tied up in their family homes. Targeting the wealthy while hurting the working class was one of this government's greatest successes.

Nothing is as refreshing and energising as meeting young and successful founders in an advisory session early in the morning!

Nearly half of the people on X are talking about how AI has doomed the job market. The other half are talking about how great things will be. In reality, only a small percentage are making a lot of money from AI during this transition period. They're the people solving boring but valuable problems for SMEs and enterprises. They focus on their core capabilities and augment their workflows with AI. This is a period of arbitrage. Use it wisely, because the window won't stay open for long.

The most powerful question to ask in a corporate environment is, β€œWhat is stopping us?” After a maximum of three iterations, you find out that nothing is actually stopping you but the incompetent and blocking people.

You hear about the "Singularity" everywhere, but if you haven't read Vernor Vinge, the author who coined the term, you're missing a lot. He's one of my favourites.

Software engineering as we know it is already gone. The change just hasn't fully diffused through the industry yet, but it will very shortly. Think of agriculture from the 1940s to the 1970s and how mechanisation transformed the industry in roughly 30 years. Now compress that transformation by 10x.

Tbh, there is really no "need" to work after $US 10M. But also, things get exciting just after that.

One of Australia's MPs was the target of an assassination attempt by a radical left-wing terrorist and terror sympathiser. Regardless of political beliefs, this should be condemned unequivocally. This is not the kind of Australia we want.
#BREAKING 🚨 Home Affairs minister Tony Burke has told the ABC that Indi MP Helen Haines was struck twice yesterday "What witnesses have described is a driver doing a u-turn to get into the car park and to ram Helen against her vehicle, then to reverse and do it a second time"
