Required:
- self-custody
- lightning network
- maximalism (bitcoin-only)
- no-KYC
Retarded:
- ordinals
- BIP110
- quantum
- single-point-of-failure companies
I'm happy that BIP-110 failed. No, I don't like spam and when I upgrade Core to 30+ I will set the datacarriersize option to 83. But crippling Tapscript is not the way to fight spam.

Perspective is everything. By keeping the Milky Way fixed, this timelapse vividly visualizes Earth spinning on its axis at roughly 1,000 mph (at the equator) relative to the galactic center. π«
This blog post is an attack on @LukeDashjr, the sole maintainer of Bitcoin Knots. He focuses on fighting spam which will still happen under Knots, but doesn't mind breaking anonymity via Whirlpool. He seems to think you should not be allowed to mix your coins. No BIP110 for me!
Replying to @theonevortex
Knotzis would be really upset if they could read.

Tell me you donβt understand bitcoin without telling me you donβt understand bitcoin.
Yes. 100% yes. Preferable to removing the OP_RETURN limit and preferable to crippling Script by removing OP_IF.
If you donβt like Bitcoin Core 30+ OP_RETURN / data-carrier relay defaults, you do not need drama.
You have options.
Old-style relay policy:
datacarrier=1
datacarriersize=83
This still relays small OP_RETURN transactions, similar to the older Bitcoin Core policy, but rejects the newer larger data-carrier default.
Stricter policy:
datacarrier=0
This tells your node not to accept OP_RETURN / data-carrier transactions into your mempool, and not to relay them.
Important nuance:
This is local mempool and relay policy.
Not consensus.
If miners include those transactions in valid blocks, your node still accepts the blocks.
That is Bitcoin.
Nodes verify consensus.
Nodes also choose their own relay policy.
It was about time! Now I hope their eyes are opened and they start the migration to yivi.app which decentralizes the data and is controlled by a foundation that cannot be sold. The city of Nijmegen already has that.

Wat een bijzondere berichtgeving. Ik zit te luisteren naar het NOS journaal en dat bericht van een schietpartij bij een islamitische school in Seattle. Daarbij werd gemeld dat "de politie uitgaat van een haatmisdrijf". (1/2)

People are switching to wired headphones because they think bluetooth cooks your brain.
But are the RF waves transmitted from AirPods really dangerous or is it just an internet myth?

Dit is ronduit schandalig! π‘
Gaat de Kamer het kabinet nog tot de orde roepen en tot actie dwingen om in control te blijven over onze data en systemen!?
