Bye Bye @GregAbbott_TX! I promise you I am still not worried about where you are peeing. Maybe you never should've worried about me either. I hope you ride off into the Texas sunset, then get set upon by vultures before dawn. Take @KenPaxtonTX with you.

Jon Polin, the father of murdered hostage Hersh Goldberg-Polin, writes of the โ€œironyโ€ of PM Netanyahu decrying Qatari influence on the Israeli election. โ€œThe man and the party who partnered with Qatar to fund the terror that murdered thousands of Israelis, including my son, now complaining that Qatar may have influenced Israeli elections.โ€ Netanyahu himself entrusted Qatar with funding Hamas in the years before October 7th. The failed policy was based on the mistaken belief that the terror group had moderated. Instead, it strengthened the Hamas, which went on to murder, rape, and kidnap innocent Israelis on October 7th. Even after the massacre, Netanyahu aides were also implicated in receiving funds from Qatar, a major scandal. โ€œCan we agree thatโ€ฆall implicated as having been influenced by this foreign actor (enemy state?) or involved in working with Qatar in a manner that led to the murder of Israelis should be prosecuted?โ€

This came to me last night, so hereโ€™s a little Apple satire to imagine their response: Seriously, the Duo is an exciting, overdue new direction for iOS devices, and it will probably get even more enticing over subsequent iterations. #iPhoneDuo #iPhoneDuover #Crackgate #duogate

Jews have a right to have our own country. Jews have a right to go to the land of our ancestors and connect to our history. Jews have a right to seek sanctuary when the world comes to slaughter us like they did our grandparents. And Jews have a right to fight back.

It is one thing to merely see oneself as a victim. It is another to objectively be a victim. Israelis were objectively victims of October 7thโ€”the deadliest day for Jews since the Holocaust. Any suggestion to the contrary is anti-Israel activism camouflaged as journalism.

Hey, New York Times, we need to talk. What is this? Genuinely. Because in what world were the Israelis not the victims? Why write that most of us "think" we are? Are the Hamas terrorists who burned families alive the real victims? I've seen a lot of disgusting coverage on the war, but this might be the worst I've ever seen.

An Israeli tourist in Bangkok says she was waiting at her table for her meal when she noticed a sign saying "No Israel tourist." She called for staff and offered to pay for her drink, but would like to cancel her food order. The manager came, all smiles and hospitality, and tried to convince her to stay. Finally, she admitted that she was leaving because of the sign on the door. The smiles disappeared. He asked her if she was Israeli, and when she confirmed, he began shouting. She said he demanded she pay an exorbitant price for her can of coke as he got closer in order to intimidate the woman who just wanted some food. In an instant, her humanity was stripped from her because of the location she was born. That's the reality Israelis have to face: you tell us to get out of Israel and, when we do, you make sure we know we aren't welcome.

Mayor Mamdani did not simply express a personal political opinion. He used the authority, symbolism, and credibility of the mayorโ€™s office to issue what amounted to an official public address declaring that the democratically elected leader of the worldโ€™s only Jewish state is a โ€˜war criminalโ€™ who is โ€˜not welcome in New York City.โ€™ That is a profound misuse of the office entrusted to him by all New Yorkers. After acknowledging that New York City has no independent legal authority to execute the International Criminal Courtโ€™s arrest warrant, the mayor nevertheless chose to transform that legal reality into a televised political spectacle. Respect for the separation of powers and the legal limits of public office is a bedrock of American democracy; those limits should not be treated as an inconvenience to be exploited for political theater. Perhaps most telling was what the mayor chose to leave out. His address made no mention of Hamas or the October 7 massacre of innocent civilians. Instead, he delivered a sweeping moral indictment of Israel while erasing the terrorist atrocities that ignited this war. Appeals to universal humanity and justice ring hollow when they exclude the victims whose suffering does not fit a preferred political narrative. This is no longer simply about Prime Minister Netanyahu. It reflects a broader pattern in which Mayor Mamdani repeatedly singles out Israel while using the prestige of his office to legitimize rhetoric that further isolates the Jewish state and deepens division here at home. At a time when Jewish New Yorkers are experiencing alarming levels of antisemitism, harassment and intimidation, they deserve a mayor who refrains from fomenting hatred against the worldโ€™s only Jewish country while maintaining the fiction that this is not anti-Jewish. Throughout his campaign, Mayor Mamdani repeatedly insisted that his responsibility as mayor would be to focus on New York City and the issues affecting New Yorkers. New Yorkers elected him to make their neighborhoods safer, combat hate and unite a diverse city, not to conduct foreign policy or transform City Hall into a stage for ideological declarations about world leaders. New Yorkers elected a mayor, not a prosecutor of foreign leaders. Mayor Mamdani should spend less time trying to demonize only one leader and one country from City Hall and more time protecting the New Yorkers he was elected to serve. #Mamdani #MayorMamdani #Israel

Iโ€™m a democrat. Here is the truth for any democrat running for office. If you donโ€™t support Israel, I donโ€™t need to hear another word from you. Because your moral judgment is so fundamentally flawed, you will come to bad conclusions about healthcare, foreign policy and civil rights. Itโ€™s the worldโ€™s easiest call. Do you decide with terrorists or the victims of terrorism.

I guess he has no concerns wishing Venezuela a happy birthday despite its government. Hmmm.
Happy Venezuelan Independence Day to everyone celebrating across New York City. Today, we honor Venezuela's long struggle for self-determination, the generations of people who have carried that history with them to our city, and Venezuelans around the world who are still reckoning with the tragic aftermath of this devastating earthquake. Our hearts are with our Venezuelan brothers and sisters during this moment of celebration and struggle. โ€จยกFeliz Dรญa de la Independencia! ๐Ÿ‡ป๐Ÿ‡ช

5,000 doctors from 46 countries signed a petition to the World Medical Association to act against discrimination and medical boycotts. Their call comes after the British magazine The Lancet published a call to exclude Israel from the World Medical Association. The petition, which was signed by doctors from Canada, Brazil, Germany, Spain, France, and Italy, and more, states that "medical organizations should remain spaces for scientific and universal cooperation, and not serve as a tool for political exclusion." The doctors added that the Lancet "completely ignores any role Hamas has in destroying the healthcare system in Gaza." Several hostages testified to the fact that Hamas held them in hospitals. Hostage Noa Marciano was murdered by a Hamas doctor at Al-Shifa Hospital. He injected air into her veins. Her family was sent a video of the horrific act of violence. Excluding Israeli doctors, whose research saves countless lives, from global medical institutions will do nothing to help Palestinians. It will only increase the hatred Jews, including Jewish doctors, are facing.

Reminder to anyone who sees this flag around: I designed it in 2019. I claim copyright on all media. I'm a Jewish, transgender, proudly Zionist woman who saw that queer Palestinians living right next door Israelis, under Hamas and other awful leaders, had nobody rooting for them.
To anyone who thinks LGBTQ people canโ€™t support Israel & also support Palestinians living as neighbors in two states of peace, I waved a flag of Palestinian Pride before the United States Capitol today! I stand with those fighting Hamas. #AIPAC2019 #ConnectedForGood #WeWantToLive
