Today is Ember Friday. This traditional day of thanksgiving, prayer, and fasting calls us to place our attention and trust in the Lord, especially in preparation for the coming summer season, allowing him to be at its center. Today’s penance also offers us an exceptional opportunity to pray and sacrifice for the specific intention of our fathers, living and deceased. You can share their names on the app’s Home Tab so that all Exodus Men can lift them up in prayer.

Clerics need to read the great books.
Here are the texts our diaconate candidates have read in the first two years of formation:
The Iliad
The Oresteia
Antigone
The Bacchae
First Alcibiades
Euthyphro
Apology
Gorgias
Republic (myths)
Symposium
Nicomachean Ethics
Sometimes conversations at work go in odd directions. As a result of one this morning I submit to you this picture of Stone Cold Steve Austin drinking some beers with Aristotle.

What is the goal of our spiritual life?
It’s not “don’t sin.”
But that is how we act.
We are called to ascend. To climb the ladder of love toward God, Beauty-itself, and delight in mystical union with Him.
Don’t accept the lie you’re made for less.
First stab at playing with an outdoor WiFi design for an RV park in @HaminaWireless . The 3D features are pretty nifty.

The stages of an outage are:
1) denial, no way it's DNS
2) bargainjng, please don't let it be DNS
3) realization , crap it's DNS
And finally acceptance, of course it's DNS because it's always DNS
