When I was 5, we immigrated to the US & slept on the floor of my uncle's 1br apartment for two years.
When I was 10, we moved to a poultry farm in rural Maryland. I spent my evenings and weekends working on the farm.
My childhood led me to dedicate my career to AI.
Here's why:

my fam left a small village in Pakistan for the bright lights of NYC, only to be priced out and start over on a farm in rural Maryland.
an essay about that journey and how it shaped my belief that upward mobility is one of America's most sacred promises:

toss out your keyboards and put your thinking caps on. we’re stoked to back @sabi, the mind-reading baseball cap that lets you “talk” to AI agents with your thoughts
hats off to co-founders @rahulchhabra07 and @abanerjee99!

Everyone is sick of generic AI, including us.
Gamma was the first AI presentation platform to reach real scale. But now that AI tools are everywhere, everything looks the same.
Earlier this summer, we came to an uncomfortable conclusion: without a step change in visual variety, Gamma’s output would look and feel too similar to all the other AI tools. The entire point of a presentation is to help someone "get" your idea, to see it as unique and do something with it.
We started over. Today we're shipping Gamma 5, the biggest product overhaul in our company's history.
We rebuilt Gamma to create presentations that actually look like you and your brand. Your teams can design anything they dream up, following your brand's aesthetic or something entirely new, with every frontier and image model under the hood. And the same goes for your docs, social assets, and graphics.
We revamped our agent, design tools, editing, import, export, connectors, and more.
Get your ideas out there.
I love @SuperhumanMail but not being able to configure AI labels using Ask AI is a big miss

i don’t share much about my personal life but i did want to share some advice my dad gave me recently.
building a company and raising kids is hard.
i’m blessed to have a father that notices when im falling short and is there to help me course correct wherever necessary.
May God bless and protect our parents and forgive them for any shortcomings.

from Astra blog - Codex compaction is already great, never think about it, have multi-week threads
turns out avoiding destructive (unrecoverable) summarization actions + letting a very smart model search over previous context…just works
scaling + improving general search works, bitter lesson is inescapable

A shocking chart from a new study on student AI use in China. Good grades on homework used to predict good grades on tests. Now, it might mean the opposite. economist.com/graphic-detail…
Very obvious this is the best form factor: combine the best of session-first apps with the best of agent-first apps.
I'd also bet Grok Bot will meet in this middleground soon (coming from the opposite end) with the ability to create new sessions with the same bots (or group of bots).
ANTHROPIC 🔥: Claude Tag is coming to Claude Desktop in the form of collaborative Projects for Claude Code.
That's essentially a built-in Slack 👀
> Earlier spotted Managed Projects feature got a slight upgrade, mentioning that users will be able to spawn different threads within a single project session.
> Project creation UI got a new option to add repositories as context, which will be used across all sessions.
The upcoming Projects for Claude Code feature is expected to enable teams and individuals to work collaboratively inside Claude Desktop, as they would with Claude Tag on Slack.
Claude Code Projects will have persistent context and memory, which Claude will periodically refine and improve over time.

this meeting could have been an MCP invoked search of our company’s internal knowledge base that aggregates data from virtually every service we use behind a unified retrieval layer and provides a streamlined interface for extracting critical business insights

Today we're releasing Computer History in ChatGPT.
It lets ChatGPT learn from everything you do on your computer, so it can better understand how you work, finish tasks that you're in the middle of, and suggest skills and automations based on how you use your computer.

JUST IN: Nearly half of Gen Z workers admit to “sabotaging” their company’s AI strategy.
Notion is one of the most well-positioned products in the market when it comes to owning the context layer for AI.
But it's flexibility has proven to be a double edged sword in the agentic age. Several of our clients have had experiences with agents editing their meticulously-curated Notion pages/dbs in undesired ways.
This could potentially assuage some of the risks associated with Notion's flexibility and make it more reliable for more complex use cases (like Notion as CRM).
Excited to try it out!
@ivanhzhao @akothari if you can get me off the waitlist, we will try to build our entire business OS into Notion and create a YT video about it.
and then recommend the same to our many clients who use Notion once it's GA.

We have information that Moonshot AI distilled Anthropic’s Fable for the development of its K3 model.
To do this they developed a sophisticated internal platform to conduct large scale distillation against U.S. models, allowing them to quickly switch between multiple methods of access to avoid detection. Moonshot AI has also acquired GB300-equipped servers and has accessed GB300s in Thailand, likely to train its AI models.
The United States strongly supports the free and fair development of AI, including a thriving competitive ecosystem that spans frontier models, specialized systems, open-source frameworks, and open-weight models. Legitimate AI distillation used to create smaller, more efficient models plays a vital role in this open innovation ecosystem. However, large-scale, covert industrial distillation aimed at stealing proprietary U.S. technology and undermining American research is unacceptable.

This is me talking to my computer without making a sound.
After just a month of collecting data, our model is already approaching dictation in accuracy. We were surprised to see that it generalizes to unseen participants as well!
