This weekend we're bringing contra dances to North Georgia! Friday, Oct. 16 – Mountain City with Paddy's Return. Saturday, Oct. 17 – Athens, Ga., with Shapeshifter! Great bands and lots of fun ahead!

I was in Flat Rock, NC, tonight teaching a classic dance called Sasha. It was the first time I've heard someone exclaim, "That's my name!" Of course, I asked Sasha if she'd assist with the demonstration, and she did!

Last night's Hayesville dance was so much fun. We had up to 7 musicians playing! Paddy’s Return is an incredible band! Also, last night I called my 1,000th dance ever. It's titled Shelburne Grange, and here's a clip of it:
