After 12 years of service to the people of Edmonton-Manning, I have decided to not seek re-election and pass on leadership to the next generation. While I will no longer be seeking elected office, my commitment to our community will not end. #ableg #abag

Bill 28 is not a minor administrative update. It is a major shift in power away from Alberta’s municipalities and into the hands of the provincial cabinet. Albertans deserve leadership grounded in accountability and integrity, not distraction and political control.

I had a great meeting with Christopher Martin, Director of Stakeholder Engagement and Outreach at the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers, to discuss the role of Alberta’s oil and gas sector in creating more job opportunities for young people entering the workforce.

I had the pleasure of attending Public Interest Alberta’s Gala Dinner and Silent Auction last week. It was great to join advocates, community leaders, and supporters for an evening focused on strengthening public services and building a more inclusive Alberta.

Great to be out today at the badminton tournament hosted by the Heritage of Malayalis in Edmonton. I always appreciate seeing how events like this bring people together and strengthen communities. Good luck to everyone playing and thank you so much for the warm welcome.

The question was simple: did agriculture show up enough in this budget? The answer: no. Instead of supporting value-added agriculture, diversification, and investment, this budget adds more pressure on producers through rising costs.

It was great to be out in Cy Becker earlier today enjoying the sunshine, meeting with constituents, and hearing their concerns. Thank you to everyone who took the time to connect. I always appreciate these conversations and the chance to hear what matters most to you.

What's the point of spending millions of dollars on a referendum if Danielle Smith plans to do whatever her separatist friends want?

“I’m not neutral. I’m not going to be a bystander in this. We are going to actively pursuading the public that this is the direction we want to go.” “This is the position of our government.”

Democracy in Alberta is at stake. Under the UCP government, the decision to reject a majority report on electoral boundaries and move toward a new, more partisan process has raised serious questions about fairness and representation.

The Horse Hill 7-12 project that is set to serve 2,410 students in my riding is unfunded. The Catholic 10-12 project in Gorman is also unfunded. Crystallina, a K-6, received no funding this year and it was for 650 kids. Marquis, a K-6, set to serve 890 children remains unfunded.

The UCP government shut down debate on the Electoral Boundaries Commission referral using time allocation. It was a deliberate choice to limit scrutiny, restrict voices, and curtail the ability of MLAs to speak on behalf of the people who sent them to the Legislature.
