Not sure how Conor Stallions caused Tennessee to blow that 4th down opportunity and then give up the fumble forcing sack to Dylan Stewart, but I’m sure some Vol fans will figure it out.
Sometimes a season goes sideways right away and never recovers. Georgia Tech losing their opener to Colorado was that kind of performance, and giving up 49 on homecoming to BC officially put this year in the dumpster.
Knew this had to be the end. Did think he might make it to Sunday though.
NC State announces the firing of coach Dave Doeren
gopack.com/news/2026/10/24/n…
Perfect weather and neither Indiana or Michigan scored a regulation TD or broke 225 yards offense even with OT. That was a tough watch.
If Texas Tech is going to do what Cody Campbell said and be throwing up 40 in the 4th quarter for revenge, they’re really going to have to pick up the pace here.
That Stanford loss has to be the end for Dave Doeren at NC State. They may and probably will announce it as a retirement but they can’t pump any air back in that balloon after the UVA humiliation in week zero, Vandy disaster and now this.
This should be an easy promise to keep, since it seems impossible to make it any worse.
Memphis just ran the most ridiculously incompetent pop pass in the history of CFB, and the universe rewarded them with a turnover off the resulting punt as a thank you for the laughs.
We’ll see if this triggers more moves now that someone’s broken the seal. Locksley should’ve been fired at least a year ago and never should’ve been hired in the first place after his New Mexico fiasco.
Maryland has parted ways with coach Mike Locksley, source tells @YahooSports. First coaching domino of the 2026 cycle.
That’s three World Series trips in 18 years with totally different groups of guys for an organization with zero built in advantages competing in a division with the Yankees and Red Sox. No one anywhere in MLB has any excuses for not being able to compete.
Is that bad? That seems bad. Somewhere @realmattlanta is twitching right now.

confirmed
Dan Quinn called for a field goal when it was already 49ers ball after a turnover on downs, because he had no idea the prior play was 4th down
Amato wasn’t just a coach, he was a legit character. Never had a boring conversation with him. Losing Amato was one of the things that accelerated FSU’s decline in Bobby Bowden’s last decade. R.I.P.
It is completely insane that he was allowed to play in that game. Hopefully the genius from NFL Network who suggested he was exaggerating/taking advantage of this feels real embarrassed today.
#Eagles QB Jalen Hurts, who is out for the season after several blood clots were revealed in his lungs, has been undergoing tests for days.
Before the London game, Hurts was in the hospital until 4 am and did not sleep because sleep was a risk. He played without having slept.
Josh Allen is more accurate with a shovel pass 15 yards upfield as he's on the move and about to get hit than some QBs I've seen today were from the pocket.
Watching the Jameis - JJ McCarthy combo the rest of the season is going to have Giants fans in absolute hell.
Not sure I can remember the last CFB day with as much outright craziness as this one. Wild outcomes, multiple games coming down to inches, 3 of the remaining 9 unbeatens losing and another surviving in OT - just an incredible 11 hours and we're not even done yet.
Kirby Smart’s team doesn’t lose games like that. First time since South Carolina in 19. Real consequences are minimal right now since they’re not losing any tiebreakers to Auburn, but that level of sloppiness will get them beat again if it’s repeated.
