Onibaba. I added it to my queue out of curiosity and it ended up staying with me for days. Those early days of Netflix streaming were so great for discovery. There’s about a dozen more like this I’m sure of.
As a proud city kid, the line “I may not have a dime/but I’ve got street savoir-faire” always goes extra hard for me, even if it is coming from an animated dog voiced by Billy Joel.

Love all of these. I’ve just happened to watch Malcolm X the most. It crackles with an energy that most biopics don’t have. Plus, an all-timer performance from Denzel. I mean, like, probably top 10 or 15 ever.
