Let's remember that Viv later said "I don't think we’re ever gonna meet her in the show" but she also said that she didn't know because they're still writing S4. And since there's so much excitement to meet Stolas' mom, I doubt that Viv won't feed us with her in the future.

Viv recently said we'll learn "slightly more" abt Stolas' mom, we got the locket in S3E5, but then why so much focus on it? Maybe we'll get our answer in S3E7. But my belief that Carrie's really the voice of his mom in 'what went wrong' is stronger, even if it's not a duet.
