I’m tired
Sigh. In the process of tweaking TDMA’s paperback listing on Amazon and the new one has been up for less than an hour and someone’s already given it a one star rating. (It’ll take like a week to merge my reviews from the first edition to the new one unfortunately). I’m tired

Note that you don’t HAVE to like my book - that’s not the issue here Review bombing something that hadn’t been up for longer than an hour is I didn’t announce the new link yet for a reason.

Lines like this really spell out the sensation of realizing that your mother was a girl once too. It was less of a gut punch within the movie more of a gut punch for me in real life.
“we mothers stand still so our daughters can look back to see how far they've come.”

for the last time a romance has (1) a central love story, (2) a happily ever after, and (3) a scene where a character thinks their love interest is hurt and they go absolutely fucking feral

do you guys ever plot a scene that you know is necessary for the story but feel immediately exhausted just thinking of having to write it out

Now if they said Depression Barbie watches Bobs Burgers for the 700th time, Greta would’ve gotten a cease and desist from me.

A lot of people keep saying that Elon’s decisions don’t make sense, but I have a trick. Simply ask “Is this going to get everybody talking about Elon Musk?” If the answer is “Yes” then, to Elon, it is a good idea.

things have been hitting the fan for me for a while, but maybe life gave me a win? after a year and 2 months of job searching, i’ve found something that pays decently and is part-time enough for me to write my silly little romance books and make it my readers’ problem

If you only see everyone who is the opposite gender as you as “potential dating partners or spouses only” I’m sorry to tell you but that’s disturbing. It’s sexist and creepy. That’s objectification. Having opposite gender friends isn’t “cheating” or “wants to sleep with them.”

I’m 100% okay with criticism but also the notion that Barbie’s feminism is not nuanced enough is kind of funny given Americas whole speech in there that no matter what women do it is simultaneously too much and not enough

when i first watched barbie i was a little disappointed by the surface level feminist takes but then i remembered how wide of an audience the film appeals to. there were little girls in my theater who were probably learning these concepts for the first time and i think its (1/2)
