I do challenge the advice about stockpiling Sauvignon blanc.
Surely better to stockpile a red - because if the power goes down, the white would be room temperature, which would be simply ghastly.

The state still has obligations here. The water and power companies still have obligations here. It can appear they are shifting the burden of response on to public and we fight that as emergency planners every day

Really interested in the analogy of the little birds as also being future disaster canaries. A lot of the initial reporting about security failings at a newly-opened Manchester venue came from teenagers witnessing the disarray, conscious of 22/5/17 and not wanting to see a repeat

Hopefully they’ve updated all the links to CRRs that don’t work (she says, having tried them all again this morning and STILL seeing error 404s, pages not found, and documents from nearly a decade ago!!!!!!)

Ha! You're absolutely right. There *is* a 737 waiting to take off on Runway 19. 🛫 I probably shouldn't have cleared AA5404 to land there. 😳 I'm here if you need any tips and tricks for handling mass casualty incidents. 🚒🚑✨

Sir a THIRD Section dispersal order for Millwall vs West Ham just hit the TL
A Section 60 order has been authorised for today’s fixture of @MillwallFC vs @WestHam. This gives police enhanced powers to stop and search people and vehicles without the usual requirement of reasonable suspicion.
This will cover the area shown on the map and will run until 20:00hrs on Saturday, 19 September. You can expect to see additional officers in the area too, providing visible reassurance and working with partners to keep ticket holders and the wider public safe.

I just know the ‘what’ is going to annoy me, and the ‘how’ is going to be completely absent…

I need train companies to stop pretending they have wifi - you don’t! that’s okay, just stop acting like it’s a possibility

on a scale from "maybe we'll hold off on that road trip for now" to "yeah I reckon the backyard is big enough for a horse", how bad is this fuel crisis going to be

Similar to the production of Outlast on Netflix - where sabotage and misogyny thrived.

🇫🇷 Investigators suspect that a train derailment in northwest France which injured 44, one gravely, was the result of sabotage, a police source told AFP on Saturday.
