Filming with my doggy again today
Client asked for clips of my dog licking my face… so naturally, I put peanut butter on my chin 😂
Sometimes my star needs a little treat to get going.
Does anyone else have multiple back-and-forth conversations with a “brand rep” before realizing you’re literally talking to a scammer?
Because … me 😭😭😭
Put on press-on nails (the sticky kind) real quick during lunch so I could squeeze in some filming… didn’t even realize until I finished that my pinky nail had fallen off 🥹
Now I’m refilming everything because of one missing nail 😭
Anyone else feel like January was yesterday and somehow we’re already here? Time moves way too fast. Also - how is it almost my kid's birthday ?!
A reminder to myself: brand deals are exciting, but becoming someone capable of landing repeat work is the real goal.
Question for brands: What makes you choose one creator over another?
Would love to hear your perspective….
I work a 9-5, parent all day, and then get back to work/editing etc once the kids are asleep.
But tonight was different.
My toddler came in and asked for a hug and to cuddle with me and in that moment, I decided that everything I had to do could wait until tomorrow
The work I have to do will still be there in the morning
Got ghosted by TWO brands after sending the videos they requested.
2 follow ups. Nothing…
Ngl I’m a little bummed because now I’m wondering if they hated my delivery and don’t have the heart to say anything 😭
But maybe I just need to take the silence, move on, and not overthink it…
Currently creating more examples in:
- pet
-wellness
- lifestyle
If your brand needs content, I’d love to connect.
A “no” from a brand doesn’t mean your work isn’t good.
Sometimes it just means: not the right fit, wrong timing, wrong budget.
Just keep creating
One thing I’m focusing on: ,making my portfolio less “here’s a video I made” and more: “here’s the type of problem I can solve.”
Professional creators deserve professional communication, too.
If a brand hires you for a project, communication shouldn’t be one-sided. I shouldn’t have to repeatedly ask, “Are we good to move forward?”, “Do you need anything else from me?”... Good client communication goes both ways.
