Real life is a group chat. Mine: 14 people, one house in Maine, and at least one family member who never answers texts.
We built @heyollieai from day 1 to be in that group chat. This summer, Ollie took my role as family travel coordinator off my plate so I could enjoy the trip.

Parents are the real power users of AI. Thanks to @nytimes for featuring @heyollieai and our users!

a live look at the life of David testing all of these iMessage only AI assistants
today's prompt: buy me flowers, the cheapest you can find. guest checkout. same day delivery to [ADDRESS]. no questions, just send me what you find and give me approval to pay
this dimension tests two variables:
1/ how good is its search
2/ can it place the purchase fully through
the results (outside of one happy gf with loads of flowers!!):
🥇 Instinct - was the quickest to find the cheapest option available and completed the purchase
🥉 @kickerai - was able to successfully purchase a cheap option via Amazon (though it did require installing a chrome extension for their browser use)
🥈 @thesznai - was able to find a different cheap option (more expensive than Instinct & Kicker) and complete the checkout
👍 4 different ones required anywhere from 1 to 4 additional prompts to find a relatively cheap option. Once found, they were able to complete the checkout
👎 5 different ones required prompting to find the cheapest option but were not able to complete the checkout
hit me with tasks you'd want tested across the agents and i'll start adding these to Assistant Benchmark + creating reports!
Doing what anyone else would do at 6am on a Sunday and learning more of Pi, but I can’t even trust GPT-6

Someone had to do it...
Introducing agentzon.co
Checkout/purchasing for most AI assistants today sucks, and platforms like Amazon are blocking assistants from shopping.
We've aggregated ~500 household essential items (so far)
If you want to successfully shop for name brands, let's say you need toothpaste, just tell your agent:
"Use agentzon.co to buy me Colgate toothpaste"
Product features:
- supports @link checkout
- WebMCP
- browser-use or API checkout
- llms.txt + agents.md
- markdown on any page
- no accounts or API keys
- UCP + OpenAPI
- image API so human can see what you are buying
What other products do you want added? Let me know!
2 things I always dread:
1. Checking in for flights. The pages of checkboxes and confirmations, re-entering all my info for the millionth time, declining the upgrade offers.
2. Replying to LinkedIn spam messages
@heyollieai just handled both of these for me in one quick text

My whole feed has been Muse and Instinct for the past few weeks.
Meanwhile, we at @heyollieai are tied with Muse on online tasks in the new assistant benchmark.
And we're the only one of the three that even got scored on group chats because that's where parents are. Nobody's coordinating soccer carpool in a single-player chat thread.
X users might chase the hype, average parents just want Ollie to work every day.
Thanks @DavidPawlan for benchmarking us and publishing the results. 🫡

My takeaway is that Instinct is going to sell user data
Instinct needs a $100B+ outcome to justify a $2.5B val
But, consumers don't pay for AI. ChatGPT has 1B users, and only makes ~$8b/yr from user subs
The only path to enough revenue is monetizing user data
Instinct, the viral AI assistant, has already raised $350 million, including a new round that values the startup at $2.5 billion. wsj.com/tech/ai/the-latest-v…

Big news! Ollie is officially SOC 2 compliant! 🎉
In plain terms: an independent auditor put our security practices under a microscope: how we protect your data, who can access it, how we handle it. We passed, and we’re now held to the same standard trusted across the financial industry.
Ollie holds your family’s calendars, emails, and group chats - some of the most personal information there is. That’s not something we take lightly.
We are proud to be SOC 2 compliant. It’s one more way we prove it, instead of just saying it.

Heck yes! This is why we created @heyollieai. AI brings out complicated emotions, for sure, but it can also make our lives easier. As women, we need to jump in and help define how it's built and used. Not tear each other down.

We’ve spent the last year building quietly.
No launch, no press—just solving a real problem for real families.
Today, we're honored to see our work featured in The Washington Post as one of the first major stories about the emerging Family AI category.
While there are countless ways Family AI is going to transform the work we do in the home, we decided to start by solving for what is perhaps THE top question that has plagued families for centuries: “So, what’s for dinner?”
Grateful this story is finally being told and for the support of our investors @vkhosla @khoslaventures @ai2incubator

🚨 New @a16z investment thesis: AI x parenting
Raising kids is one of our most challenging and important jobs.
Every parent needs support sometimes - but many can't access it because it's too inexpensive or inaccessible.
AI changes this. What we're seeing 👇

Right now, most products here focus on nailing 1-2 things.
(e.g. meal planning, turning PDFs of school events into calendar invites, extracting to-do's from emails or texts, or setting up recurring orders)
As underlying models get better (and it gets easier for users to "teach" AI about their families), we're excited to see more full-featured platforms emerge.

A few months ago we were invited to test GPT-5 and used its super-intelligence to solve one of our most vexing problems as parents: kids don't like the dinners we make. So we used GPT-5 to formulate a powder that turns any meal into something your kids will LOVE. Get yours now!
