Still a problem
When we talk about our defensive woes, we talk most about positioning and movement. But there are times we get those right and still don’t get the ball. Look at that Inter winning goal. When you look at a lot of chances we concede, you’ll realize our players can’t tackle

Did the whole world agree to lose it at the same time??? France and Italy are burning, Albania is on day 6+ of clashes, and the list of countries joining in keeps getting longer. 8 countries, 11 seconds, 1 very angry planet. Writer: Julie

Sometimes i find it strange when people say there's no freedom of speech in Nigeria cos you can't even say a quarter of this in some of y'all favorite countries before you're lockedup
I am in the middle of an accidental town hall meeting in Manchester in the UK. I came to a Lunch to which Peter Obi was invited. I found food I looked forward to deferred for questions on the trouble with Nigeria. Many of the questions suggest worry about the boldness of public officials in projecting rigging with results of elections of 2027 considered in the pocket. They were energized to ask for how they could own fighting rigging. The determination to do whatever will prevent election malpractice suggest we may see a civil war if power tries to muscle the will of the people this time.

Can anyone explain this to me cos this didn't even make any sense
Elina Svitolina and Gael Monfils are ending their marriage 💔 Elina shared this message on IG: “This is the most difficult thing I have ever had to share. Everyone knows how much Ukraine means to me. What I have rarely spoken about is what the war has done to me inside. Last year, I told you I needed to step away from the court because I wasn't in the right emotional space. Today, I want to open up a little more. What you didn't see were the sleepless nights, the doubts, and the feeling of slowly losing myself. Gaël saw all of it. He never let go of my hand. We fought through this together for a long time, with everything we had. But some battles happen deep inside you, and no amount of love from someone else can win them for you. With time, I came to understand that I need to find my way back to myself and that I cannot do that within our marriage. It is the hardest truth I have ever had to face and the hardest thing I have ever had to tell the person I love. Gaël listened. He has respected what I need with a strength and grace I will never forget. Gael has loved me through my greatest joys and my darkest moments, and I have loved him with all my heart. Together, we built a beautiful life, and we were given the most precious gift of all, our daughter, Skai. Skai will always come first. Our marriage is ending, but our family is not. We will always be her parents, side by side, at every step of her life. Please know that there is no one to blame here. There are only two people who loved each other deeply and a story that is changing shape. We ask for your kindness and for the space we need to heal. Thank you for your love 🤍”

Howe many times are you going to be told that having plenty refineries is not what crashes price of oil?
Nigeria has Six dormant refineries. Revive 4 and drop down the oil price and everyone will be fine.

You said more than this to Soludo
You should never have defected to APC. That was the day you lost reelection. It’s always surprising how you lots think you can tell us where to go; forgetting we are Igbos.

You see that @abikedabiri is right about you
*PRESS STATEMENT* *ADELABU NEVER ASKED NIGERIANS TO REJECT APC — VIRAL REPORT IS FALSE, MALICIOUS AND MISCHIEVOUS* Our attention has been drawn to a false report circulating on social media, alleging that Chief Adebayo A. Adelabu, OFR, FCA, FCIB, the immediate past Minister of Power, called on Nigerians to reject the All Progressives Congress (APC). *This report is entirely false, misleading and maliciously intended to discredit Chief Adelabu, undermine his loyalty to the APC and, perhaps, create unnecessary friction between him, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the leadership of the party.* We therefore urge the public to disregard the fabricated narrative. Anyone who knows Chief Adelabu, his political antecedents and his relationship with the President would find it difficult to believe such an allegation without compelling evidence. Throughout his political journey, Adelabu has consistently demonstrated his commitment to the APC and his loyalty to President Tinubu. Adelabu served under the APC-led Federal Government as Minister of Power, where he pursued significant reforms aimed at repositioning the power sector. The gains of these efforts are gradually becoming evident. He subsequently left public office voluntarily to pursue his governorship ambition in Oyo State. Unfortunately, the APC governorship nomination process in Oyo State was marred by controversies, including the alleged imposition of a preferred aspirant without the transparent release of the primary election results. Despite his grievances, Adelabu has repeatedly declared at various fora that he has no intention of leaving the APC, that his political ambition is not a do-or-die affair, and that he remains loyal to the party and Mr President. *His position has been consistent: loyalty does not preclude the demand for fairness, transparency and adherence to democratic principles.* Indeed, Adelabu has challenged the logic of declaring a candidate the winner of an election without releasing the results and subsequently setting up a reconciliation committee to pacify aggrieved stakeholders. His point is straightforward: whatever standards of transparency, accountability and democratic conduct Nigerians expect from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) must equally guide the internal electoral processes of political parties. It is therefore mischievous to twist his demand for internal democracy into a call for Nigerians to reject the APC. More importantly, the relationship between Chief Adelabu and President Tinubu transcends partisan politics. It is a longstanding relationship founded on mutual respect, trust and affection, which Adelabu has openly described in father-and-son terms. That relationship remains cordial, and no amount of fabricated reports, political blackmail or deliberate misrepresentation can destroy it. No genuine son would deliberately work against the interests of a father and benefactor to whom he remains grateful. Adelabu has neither renounced his loyalty to the President nor called on Nigerians to reject the APC. Those peddling such claims should produce verifiable evidence of the alleged statement rather than seek to manufacture controversy through falsehood. For the avoidance of doubt, the video being circulated is an excerpt from an interview Adelabu granted in 2022, when he was the governorship candidate of the Accord Party in Oyo State. In that interview, he expressed the view that political parties had disappointed Nigerians and that voters should pay greater attention to the credibility and character of individual candidates. That position was made in the context of the 2022 political environment and was consistent with his decision at the time to support the presidential ambition of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, notwithstanding his candidacy under a different political platform. It was never a call to reject the APC or oppose Tinubu's presidency.
