5A had a great time at Forest school this afternoon! They made shelters and snow globes and even tried sledging!
We are looking forward to welcoming everyone back into school tomorrow for the start of the Spring Term. We hope everyone has enjoyed the break and is ready for a new term of learning.
Wishing all of our children and their families a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Enjoy the festive break and we look forward to seeing everyone in January 2026.
Well done to this 4B pupil who filled his star books card and visited the vending machine to choose a book. #higherlaney4
Well done to our Key Stage 2 Star Readers for this half-term 📚⭐️❤️ New books from the vending machine have been chosen!
Choir at Morrisons!
The Upper School choir will be singing at Morrisons in Whitefield tomorrow morning (Tuesday 16th December) from 10.30ish to 11.30ish.
We would love to see you there! 🎶🎄🎶
Well done to 4B’s certificate recipients this week and last week. #higherlaney4
5A have worked so hard on various fractions topics in the last few weeks. I am so proud of their resilience and determination. We have finally mastered making equivalent fractions! Today some children felt confident enough to model answering questions for the class. Just amazing!
Year 3 travelled back to the Stone Age today! We explored real Stone Age artefacts inside the Stone Age tent. This was such an amazing hands on history experience, we even got to taste some fish that was prepared on the fire.
We are very proud to be part of the Nativity Festival at Whitefield Methodist Church this week. These children from Years 5 and 6 have worked very hard to create this nativity, which we have called ‘The angel who took a shortcut down Higher Lane’! #higherlaneRE #higherlaneart
