How can you “love your neighbor” and grow in this important foundation of the Christian walk if you isolate yourself from the community of Christ?

There is no such that as a Lone Ranger Christian. The Christian walk was meant to be lived out in community. Without this important dynamic, people get very weird and become deceived easily. Community is where we are sharpened and tested in our love for one another.

When the goal of discipleship is more people to serve (volunteer), you never want to release them. Your work force is diminished. When the goal is maturity, you recognize up front that releasing them is the goal.

Understanding resilience goes far beyond simply “moving forward.” You have no choice but to move forward. Deciding to give time and space for real recovery is always a choice.

Just as the water for bathing is the same as the water for drinking, the Word serves multiple purposes. You wouldn't drink all the water in the shower, nor would you bathe in a glass of ice water. Each has its distinct function.

Just because America WAS blessed makes no promise that she will BE blessed. 🙏🏼 “And if I announce that I will plant and build up a certain nation or kingdom, but then that nation turns to evil and refuses to obey me, I will not bless it as I said I would.” Jeremiah 18:9-10 NLT

What Does It Mean to Be “Full of the Holy Spirit?” “But Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, gazed steadily into heaven and saw the glory of God, and he saw Jesus standing in the place of honor at God’s right hand.” Acts 7:55 NLT Being raised Pentecostal and baptized with the Holy Spirit from a young age, I used to think being "full of the Spirit" meant praying in tongues all the time. Recently, my understanding has deepened, aligning more with the revelation of this verse. Here is my new definition: The extent to which you are filled with the Spirit directly determines how intently you gaze at the glorious person of Jesus. This revelation transforms everything. Does your Spirit-filled life lead you to focus more on Jesus? Does it draw you closer to Him? Does it fill you with daily wonder at His beauty? Does it inspire private worship? Does it prompt spontaneous praise for His finished work on Calvary? Being full of the Holy Spirit means constantly being drawn to and captivated by Jesus, leading to a life overflowing with worship and adoration. Bottom line: your pneumatology should always heighten your Christology!

Maybe You Have Not Discovered His Words “When I discovered your words, I devoured them. They are my joy and my heart’s delight, for I bear your name, O Lord God of Heaven’s Armies.” Jeremiah 15:16 NLT When I was 18 years old, I was in my dorm room at college when I truly discovered God’s Word. I knew lots of Bible verses, but I didn’t realize it was really God speaking. When you find out that the Bible is God’s Word, it changes everything. You want to read it more and more, not because you have to, but because you want to. This feeling will stay with you forever. You can’t build a strong life in the Word just because someone tells you to or because it sounds good. You have to find God’s Word for yourself. When you do, like Jeremiah says, you will love it and want more!

“By leaving them quickly, St. Paul gave the local leaders opportunity to take their proper place; and he forced the Church to realize that it could not depend upon him, but must depend upon its own resources.” — Missionary Methods: St. Paul's or Ours? by Roland Allen

“This is what the Lord says: “Don’t let the wise boast in their wisdom, or the powerful boast in their power, or the rich boast in their riches. But those who wish to boast should boast in this alone: that they truly know me and understand that I am the Lord who demonstrates unfailing love and who brings justice and righteousness to the earth, and that I delight in these things. I, the Lord, have spoken!” Jeremiah 9:23-24 NLT

They are NOT too Strong! The descendants of Joseph responded, “It’s true that the hill country is not large enough for us. But all the Canaanites in the lowlands have iron chariots... They are too strong for us.” Joshua 17:16 NLT The people of Israel were often plagued with doubt, questioning God and their ability to fulfill His commands. Even after reaching the Promised Land and conquering much of it, they struggled to believe that God could deliver the entire territory into their hands. In your faith journey, you will inevitably encounter situations that seem impossible, even for God. You will face “iron chariots” that intimidate you and make you feel incapable of seizing His promises. For me, kidney failure has been such a daunting challenge. Joshua, a figure representing Jesus, reassures the descendants of Joseph that they are indeed capable of driving out the Canaanites and claiming everything God had promised them. What in your life have you deemed impossible, even for God? Listen to the voice of Joshua today and set out to conquer your greatest enemies!

Who is at the Center? “Jesus was in the center of the procession, and the people all around him were shouting, ‘Praise God for the Son of David! Blessings on the one who comes in the name of the Lord! Praise God in highest heaven!’” — Matthew 21:9 (NLT) As a spiritual leader, it's crucial to remember: Jesus is at the center of the procession. It's easy to resist or forget this vital truth, especially amidst the demands of leadership. Perhaps, in the busyness of ministry, you simply forget His centrality in the Kingdom procession. You might start placing yourself in His rightful place, attributing your ministry’s triumphs to your own abilities rather than to His grace. You might fail to humble yourself daily and truly worship at His feet, allowing pride to creep in. Don’t let yourself forget who is truly at the center. Don’t take His place. Keep your heart humble and pure. Stay low before the King. Lift Him up every day in praise and worship, and never confuse His goodness in your ministry as the result of your own efforts. As a leader, you set the tone—ensure that Jesus is always at the center of it all!

Shout Louder! “Be quiet!” the crowd yelled at them. But they shouted even louder, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!” *Matthew 20:31 NLT* The crowd will always try to silence you. Your own doubts will urge you to stay quiet. The devil will relentlessly push you to remain silent. But true faith is bold and unafraid to make noise. It isn't timid or reserved. When you desperately need a miracle, you'll do whatever it takes. There is immense power in using your voice. God delights when you lift your voice to Him in prayer or praise. In the past, I've been too quick to give up or fall silent. No more! I've decided to be like those blind men and shout louder when everything around me demands silence!

Without revival and awakening, America is not going to change. Many are putting false hope in the presidential race to restore morality. Why do we keep falling for the same thing over and over? God’s house is the answer, not the White House!
