Well… wrapping up year 20 (last 18 in this very room). Had a great group of seniors and a lot to be thankful for. Excited for some new tech this fall in physics and a full year of construction outside my window. Cheers to all the amazing public school teachers out there. #heroes
2DM lab exam today as part of the final. Students use @VernierST photo gates and ramps I made to det. velocity of the 3/4” ball. I then give each group a unique ht to measure and det. where the ball will land on the ground. Target and CC paper to mark. #iteachphysics #modphys
When a new chiller is being installed outside your window and the physics teachers only see free-body diagrams, you go get pictures. #iteachphysics @SpangPhys
A few balanced force model stations with no angles for quiz review today. #modphys #iteachphysics

Cell Phone Unit day 17: finish CASTLE section 2. Student creates a "poster" demonstrating new learning and evidence for that. Bring back to cell phones and start Arduino Thursday and Friday. More on that later.
CPU Day 4: Characteristics of sound lab using the @phyphoxorg app and an online spectrogram. How does our wave vocab relate to our own voice to make it an identifier of us. What does that look like as a wave? As a wave/color image? What use does this have?
CPU Day 3: vocab out of the way so time to get our voice into the phone. First a phenomenon- can light mimic the human voice and activate our phone? A brief looks at the MEMS mic and some discussion from this @smartereveryday video #229

Here’s some responses. Some can be just a little more detailed but here’s a good smattering of a lot to basically no idea (on day 1). I’ll post exemplary ones at the end of the unit.
