TINUBU MUST EXPLAIN LUXURY SUV GIFTS TO APC YOUTHS WHILE NIGERIANS GO HUNGRY — ATIKU. Former Vice President and African Democratic Congress presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar has accused President Bola Tinubu of presiding over a grotesque spectacle of executive excess: the reported distribution of 2026 model luxury SUVs, each worth more than ₦150 million, to APC youth leaders while millions of Nigerians are crushed by hunger and soaring costs. Atiku said it was a brazen insult to ask Nigerians to endure hardship while party loyalists receive vehicles worth a fortune. He demanded an immediate public explanation from President Tinubu and the Presidency: who is paying for these SUVs, and why is such lavish political spending taking place while ordinary families struggle to afford food and transport? In a statement issued by Phrank Shaibu, Director of Strategic Communication of the ADC Presidential Campaign Council, Atiku said: "The APC National Youth Leader says these vehicles were donated by First Lady Oluremi Tinubu. Nigerians deserve to know where the money came from to buy and distribute so many 2026 model SUVs, each worth more than ₦150 million, for political mobilisation. "The First Lady holds no elected or executive office. She is only a domestic appendage of the office of President. Were these vehicles bought with her personal funds, donations or public resources? Who paid for them? What was the total cost? The Presidency must provide a clear account. Nigerians cannot be expected to accept a fleet of extraordinarily expensive vehicles for party loyalists without knowing who financed them. "At a time families cannot afford food, transport and other basic necessities, these gifts are a brazen insult to the people. The government has found a way to provide luxury SUVs for APC youth leaders, yet millions of Nigerians are still waiting for meaningful relief from the cost of living crisis. This is not merely a question of misplaced priorities. It is one of the most outlandish displays of executive recklessness in our history. "First, APC women leaders reportedly received luxury vehicles. Now, according to the National Youth Leader, APC youth leaders are receiving SUVs from the First Lady. The earlier gifts came on the eve of the abduction of schoolchildren in Oyo State. Now another lavish round of political giving is taking place while Nigerians face hunger, insecurity and hardship. "While Nigerians continue to ask where the savings from subsidy removal have gone, the Presidency must explain how such costly gifts are being funded. If the vehicles were paid for privately, the source of the funds should be disclosed. If public resources were used, the government must identify who authorised the spending and under what legal authority. "The scale of these gifts raises grave questions about whether our collective patrimony is being diverted to buy political loyalty. Nigeria cannot be run as a captured state, where wealth and influence serve the powerful while ordinary citizens are left to struggle. "The same youth leader who made the gifts public is reportedly travelling by private jet. That image of extraordinary privilege stands in jarring contrast to the hardship facing ordinary Nigerians. The Presidency must stop treating questions about wealth and spending as an inconvenience. Nigerians have a right to ask where the money came from. "Nor is this culture of privilege confined to party officials; it reaches the very household of the President. His own son, Mr Seyi Tinubu, has been pictured, in widely circulated images, wearing a Richard Mille RM 67-02 Sébastien Ogier, a timepiece that sells for close to half a million dollars ($500k), while the same government asks ordinary Nigerians to endure hardship, tighten their belts and wait patiently for relief that never seems to arrive.

What is the essence of successful reforms that enriches only the political elite rather than the populace, this is partly why the population don't even trust well planned polices meant for the well being of the society

I have created the petition link. Go ahead and demand his resignation. A formal notice will be sent to the Party Headquarters before serious protest against him will start. c.org/n4B5TyYtxz

There is no country in d world whose poor people are as "patient" as the ones in Nigeria. They know how to absorb pain and hunger like no other. They have resigned to their fate. They will even make excuses for their oppressors When the poor become wise the leaders will wake up

There is no point in explaining any economic reform of the president to the common man when a youth leader with nothing upstairs, an empty barrel, can confidently come online to display brand-new cars for his boys. What a foolish guy with no sense of awareness or emotional intelligence. And I also blame the weak opposition for his rascality, maybe if they had active youth leaders he could have learnt one or two things from them. The country is struggling to increase the minimum wage, fund salaries for health workers, soldiers, lecturers, and students; businesses are groaning under high lending rates; but this airhead who can't articulate his impact on the people feels it's the right time to post luxury cars for some random nonentities. We give struggling students loans, then splash N150m on cars for youth leaders and flaunt it in their faces. What is this guy's input in the party? All he does is fly private jets, sleep in hotels and flaunt his lavish lifestyle in the faces of struggling Nigerians. He doesn't join spaces, you won't see him on TV speaking to the party manifesto, he does nothing. I implore all the sensible youths in the party to sign a petition for the APC Youth Leader's resignation. The cars should be retrieved and sold and the money, wherever it came from, channeled to either Nelfund or the Basic Health Provision Fund. I need someone to create the petition link, we need to get this dunce out of that office. His brain has migrated to his protruding stomach. Absolute nonsense...

🇳🇬 NIGERIANS IN THE UK 🇬🇧 — URGENT HELP NEEDED TONIGHT Please, can anyone accommodate a female student in Hatfield or Luton tonight? She is currently homeless and urgently needs somewhere safe to stay. She is willing to pay, but her budget is limited, so she is looking for an affordable room at a reasonable price, rather than the usual room rates. If you have a spare room, know someone who can help, or can offer any form of accommodation, please send us a DM. Any genuine help or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

It also hve direct and indirect effect on cost of goods, especially petrol. Petrol price right now depends on the global market and if naira can gain value it will reduce the cost of fuel which will indirectly leads to reduction in cost of other items, transportation and all.

Why the fuck would someone living in the UK be angry that the naira is gaining value against the GBP? If it were up to me, I’d want it to go even lower, below ₦1,000 to £1, before Christmas!
£1 = N1,795. Incase you start seeing a rise in Japa people insulting Tinubu, just know that Naira is currently embarrassing pounds and dollars.

The prospect of @Susuboxuk and its potential to bring immigrant communities in the UK into the UK financial ecosystem is marvelous. This was reinforced just last week in a meeting with an advisor; even though he couldn't help with our regulatory bottlenecks, he said he would be investing in the startup when we start our SEIS rounds. The interesting thing here is that we're not building anything new; we're just building an infrastructure for a century-old savings method.

I’ve just finished a call with an infrastructure EMI partner, and it’s one of the most promising conversations I’ve had in recent times. We’ll be sending our business plan, risk policy, and mitigation documents over to their team as we take the next step. We’re getting closer. @Susuboxuk is coming to you soon!

Building @Susuboxuk has taught me that having a great fintech product idea is only one part of the journey. We are building a platform to help immigrant communities in the UK save together through digital Ajo and Susu savings circles. The product and backend are coming together. We have been working with @YapilyLtd on Open Banking, speaking to potential infrastructure partners, and navigating the regulatory requirements around safeguarding members' contributions.. But finding the right regulated partner to make this work has been one of our biggest challenges. We have had difficult conversations, explored different routes, and gone back to rethink parts of our operating model. . We are now exploring the FCA authorisation pathway and seeking guidance from people who have been through this journey. It is not easy. Every conversation teaches us something new, and every setback forces us to think more carefully about how we build. But behind @Susuboxuk is a community of people who work hard, support families, and save for rent, tuition, visas, and a better future. They deserve financial solutions built around their realities. That is why we are still pushing. We want to bring @Susuboxuk to immigrant communities across the UK, and we are determined to find the right way to do it. #FinTech #Regulation #Compliance #Startup

This hits home. We build systems we can't explain and call it progress. Guardrails without interpretability are seatbelts on a car with no steering wheel. On avance plus vite qu'on ne comprend. Créer c'est bien, mais à quel prix ? #AISafety

What happens when AI becomes better at improving itself than we are at understanding it? I've been thinking about recursive self-improvement, AI safety, and the growing importance of understanding how increasingly autonomous AI systems make decisions. I recently turned some of these thoughts into a podcast episode that explores why guardrails alone may not be enough, and why interpretability, observability, and independent evaluation deserve more attention. The AI We Can’t Understand: Are We Losing Control? I'd love for you to listen and share your thoughts. Are we really advancing AI capabilities faster than our ability to understand and control them? link below open.spotify.com/episode/1Os… #ArtificialIntelligence #AISafety #AIResearch #MachineLearning

Every morning for the past five years, I’ve spent between 2.5 and 3 hours learning. Books, both technical and self-development, tutorial videos on YouTube and Udemy, research papers, journals, documentation, and anything else that helps me understand something new. I’m probably the only person who can truly appreciate how much this habit has helped me over the years. It has become such a natural part of my routine that when I don’t do it, my whole system feels somewhat out of place. What amazes me most is seeing how a small, consistent commitment can compound into something so significant over time. Five years ago, it was simply a few hours every morning. Today, I can see the difference it has made in my knowledge, confidence, career and the way I approach problems. If you can, I genuinely encourage you to start. You don’t have to begin with 3 hours a day. Start with 30 minutes. Read a few pages, watch a tutorial, study a paper, learn a new concept or simply explore something you’re curious about. Do it consistently. The benefits of small commitments can compound in ways you may not immediately see, but years from now, you’ll be grateful you started. #Consistency #Learning
