One of our favourite activities in London is to go up to the FREE viewing platform at Horizon 22 (22 Bishopsgate near Liverpool Street) and then look straight across at the top of The Shard, where people have paid like £20+ each and they’re actually slightly lower down because 22 Bishopsgate is built on higher ground. We did it for like the fourth time the other day - just get there and scan the QR code on the door nice and early in the day and then come back for your allocated time slot, unless you want to book way in advance.

Highly recommend "Horizon 22" viewing platform, higher up than the shard and waaay higher than the Sky Garden. Free but you have to book in advance a bit. Do it!
