So we get to wait 2.5min less at the station to sit on the train for 5-10mins longer. Which idiot thought that was a good idea.
Cronulla to the City?
Currently 45-51 mins.
New Timetable? 55-56 mins.
Fantastic. Great job. Well done @ChrisMinnsMP
If you want to compare City to Motorsports it's probably closer to Toyota's illegal turbo restrictor in the 1995 WRC. It was designed to not be able to be detected when pulled out of the car which is how they were measured. Or the VW group Dieselgate emissions cheating.
I watched the F1 film with Brad Pitt the other day, and there’s a moment where his character asks to add something to the car that isn’t really in the rules. The FIA punishes it, but the team can still race with the earlier car. It made me think.
In F1, the best teams live at the edge of the regulations. Sometimes the FIA allows what they’ve found, and sometimes it says that goes too far. Occasionally the rules are rewritten afterwards.
Now, City. I’m not defending them. A commission found they entered into sham agreements and broke the spending limits. A sham is an arrangement that isn’t what it claims to be, so that’s a different thing from using a gap nobody had spotted.
City deny it and will appeal. But I find it useful to ask/reflect on how people inside the club see it.
From their point of view, PERHAPS they believe they were doing what elite competitors do: looking at the rules, finding the limits, challenging interpretations and moving faster than the regulatory system.
From the outside, you might look at that and say, “That’s cheating.” From inside the organisation, they might say, “We found something nobody had thought of.”
If you believe you’ve found a way to bring money in, more or less within the rules (and the commission said it was not in the rules and it was cheating), you might tell yourself you’re just being a sharp competitor.
We are all asking “did City cheat?”. But I find this question interesting too: “how did City come to believe they weren’t?”
And understanding a mindset, or trying to, isn’t excusing it.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Manchester City were found guilty of 114 out of 115 charges by an independent commission. The comparison made is not in the same ball park to the level of rule breaking Man City have committed.

Why is someone who didn't have a finished room and got a 10 complaining that another room is "unfinished" and got 10s. It makes no sense #TheBlock
What a beat up that #4Corners story on Chinese EVs. Had some cyber security guy hack it, like that's never been done before on a connected car, see below. And saying how China might be able to spy. Like the NSA hasn't done bulk collections before.

Hey @NFL if the coach of a team is saying they never want to play here again can we remove their marketing rights. More importantly, we don't want them either.

Who knew that flying in last minute, would be an issue. Bigger concern will be next week. Even playing Monday I don't think will help.
"The Rams are treating it like another game. The Niners are treating it like a wedding - 6 months of prep... It is a business trip. Go the last second you can. Land, play, leave."
@colincowherd argues the Rams' travel plans give them the upper hand over the 49ers in Australia
AI sucks at fine details, having worked at maccas in my teens, cup lids are never clean, even freshly made will have residue on the underside of lid.
Also how is anybody getting into those chairs.

Interesting that Google's AI is giving a summary of rumours and social media speculation about who and what the swans players may have done. Seems questionable from a defamation stand point.
Good thinking, probably why it got fixed 10+ years ago
