The Miami Heat will get another crack at quieting the noise and finally earning their first win as they host Kyrie Irving, Mavericks.

The Miami Heat are in a tailspin just three games into the Giannis Antetokounmpo era.
What’s gone wrong, and is this already unsalvageable?! Here are four factors:

“I want to see [Giannis Antetokounmpo] come down and say, ‘Hey [Bam Adebayo], I got this. This is my show. Imma make sure we all eat though.’”

I genuinely haven’t seen this much hate for the Miami Heat since they got called “bubble guppies” by everyone in May 2021.
It’s funny how majority of the people weren’t calling us contenders but yet treat every Heat loss like we’re the 2017 Warriors.
They’re also clowning Giannis going to the Heat but would’ve clowned the Heat for missing out on him.
You just gotta laugh at this point.

Are they playing well right now? Absolutely not.
Nobody is arguing that. They have plenty to figure out.
But the Miami Heat have people taking victory laps over their preseason predictions before the first Sunday of the season.
All I am saying is don’t let them get hot.

Interesting enough, that team eliminated Miami in the playoffs
Simmons
Redick
Covington
Saric
Embiid
That team eventually won 52 games and earned themselves the 3rd seed in the east

This stat suggests I should panic. But I’m not — I’m just frustrated.
They look unprepared & not connected.
As happy as I would be after a 3-0 start w/ a bunch of blowouts, I can’t get myself to panic at the inverse.
There will be peaks/valleys. Let’s hope things change soon.

Only 11 teams in NBA history have started 0-3 with a point differential of minus-45 or worse and made the playoffs.
The last one was the 2017-18 Philadelphia 76ers.
The Heat are now 0-3 with a minus-49 point differential.
The Miami Heat's minus-42 point differential through two games is their worst to begin a season in franchise history, per @Stathead.
Final: Hornets 115, Heat 110
Close, but no cigar.
Miami is now 0-3 for the first time since 2007-08.
