November 2026: no ceasefire, no deal.
The US struck Iranian islands in Hormuz on the eve of the midterms. Trump says he’ll “finish the job” if Iran rejects strict nuclear limits.
Inside Iran, people arrested in January are still being executed. Many have been killed as an aftermath of executions.
I really hope everything falls another 50%. It’s time for reckoning

به پادکست The Daily نیویورک‌تایمز گوش می‌دادم درباره انتخابات هفته آینده اسرائیل. مجری هی از مهمونش می‌پرسید کدومشون به فکر فلسطینی‌ها هستن؟ مهمون هم می‌گفت هیچ‌کدومشون مسئله اصلی‌شون این نیست و اصلا جامعه اسرائیل تشکیل کشور مستقل فلسطینی رو مسئله امروز و فردا نمی‌دونه. دوباره هر پنج دقیقه یه بار مجری می‌پرسید پس درست فهمیدم که هیچ‌کدوم از کاندیداها براشون مسئله فلسطین اولویت نداره، برخلاف دنیا که براشون خیلی مهمه؟ یکی نیست بهش بگه آره قحبه، درسته! برای کسی که ۷ اکتبر رو دیده، آخر و عاقبت خوب فلسطینی‌ها اولویت نداره

I think many of us working in tech tend to forget that the reason software engineering vs other engineering fields pays (a lot!) more, is a lot more flexible (WFH/remote), and has better perks:
Because this field changes much faster than other engineering fields. The premium is because fewer people are able/willing to pick up new technologies, methodologies so quickly.
But the field had ~10-20 years of stability, and so lots of folks forgot this is why a premium exists. And that AI is just another tech wave: software engineers who pick it up and master it will generally fare better; those not will struggle a lot more.
i must say, i haven't been this excited about technology for a long time. i feel optimism with ai in our future
