ALT Help them find ways to cope - something healthy that works for them - mindfulness, talking to someone, heading outdoors or playing music!
ALT Encourage them to keep moving. Taking regular breaks from studying to move around helps to release tension and clear their head.
ALT Remind them its normal to feel worried - nobody likes exams, so if they're feeling stressed or upset, it's good to remind them that they're not alone, and that this time will pass.
ALT Praise them - Take an interest and praise them. Praise what they are learning. Praise what they are trying to do.

ALT Graphic with text: “What parents can do: 1/ Get to know about the most common platforms and how your children engage with them (e.g. passively observing or actively posting). 2/ Understand more about the cultures online, by learning about commons terms like incel, bluepill, chad etc. 3/ Talk to your kids about what they are engaging with online and how it makes them feel. 4/ Help your children understand how they can change algorithm ‘bubbles’ if they feel they are seeing too much of a particular kind of content.
ALT Graphic with text: “What society must do: 1/ Make teaching about online communities and online safety a statutory requirement for schools. 2/ Adopt a ‘whole-school’ approach, which is the most effective way to protect and support the mental health of young people and teachers. 3/ Give young people the skills and confidence to navigate the internet safely and to recognise harmful cultures when they see it. 4/ The Government must ensure the most harmful content is properly regulated and removed.
