One of the things the data analysts on our side obsessed over was "composition"—whether the electorate looked close enough to 2024 for Republicans to win. And despite polls that showed a Democrat blowout, the data kept on telling us the same story: in some states turnout was merely OK, in other states it was downright amazing, and in no state was it catastrophic. There was a genuine sense of optimism on our team: our people were showing up. So, I asked the smartest data guy I know, does that mean we're going to shock the world? "No," he told me. "We might do better than the polls suggest. But the data is telling us that a lot of Trump/Vance 2024 voters are pissed and planning to vote for the other guys. Our voters are turning out, but they may not vote for us." Well, that looks prophetic now. Our voters did show up. In Florida, for example, the electorate was 9 points more Republican than Democrat, just a couple points worse than 2024. Undoubtedly there were places we could have done better on turnout. But the main problem is not turnout. The main problem is that many people who voted for Trump/Vance in 2024 voted for Democrats in 2026. There will be a lot of infighting and arguing over what happened and why that is. One of the pollsters I really respect told me that our economic messaging wasn’t sharp enough down the stretch. I’m sure that’s true. But the real reason we lost is obvious to almost everyone. Another pollster—one of the smartest people I know in politics, told me yesterday we’d lose the generic ballot by 13 points. I felt negative going into Tuesday, but even I was shocked by this. In his polling, he saw that a lot of Trump 2024 voters were angry and planning to vote for Democrats. He asked those voters who had abandoned us what would cause them to come back on our team. The top four answers, accounting for nearly all of the responses were: 1) End the war 2) Focus on cost of living/inflation 3) Put America First 4) Change our relationship to Israel Our voters showed up. And the above four reasons are why many of them voted for Democrats. This is according to a pollster who nailed the results. While many spent Monday attacking Rachel Campos Duffy for calling for a diplomatic resolution to the conflict, it turns out her political advice was sound. (She’s also a great person.) In the next few months, there's going to be a lot of gaslighting. Expect to hear any number of establishment politicians say the solution to our woes is amnesty. I'm open to the idea that we should change enforcement—by focusing more on businesses that hire illegal labor, for instance. But anyone pushing amnesty is lying to you. The reason we lost is the war. The president himself said so last night. If you'd like to argue it was worth it, that losing the Senate for the next 6 years was worth it, then do so. Argue it was a worthwhile cost to pay. Agree or disagree, that's at least honest. But everyone knows why we lost. And any honest conversation about where we go from here must start there. I remain hopeful about our country. To the people who are pissed off and want to say, “I told you so”: you’re right, you did tell us so. Take that energy into electing Republicans who share your worldview. To the people who are just pissed at the results, you should be. Let’s take that anger and get back to the work of saving our country.

🚨Ron DeSantis is warning Republicans that their midterm defeat could become a decade-defining setback, with Democrats controlling Congress long enough to shape Supreme Court succession and constrain the next GOP president. He pointed to immigration enforcement and the Iran war as the two main issues on which the Trump administration let voters down, helping pave the way for Tuesday’s blue tsunami👇 hungarianconservative.com/ar…

📊Poland’s constitutional crisis has left both major political camps without majority backing, with the largest group of voters rejecting both Tusk’s and Nawrocki’s positions on the Constitutional Tribunal. The trend is especially strong among younger Poles and could bolster centrist calls for a constitutional reset, negotiations and a solution beyond the country’s entrenched political divide👇 hungarianconservative.com/ar…

🇺🇸Tuesday’s midterms rewrote the history of Black political representation in America, with four Black candidates winning governorships in a single night and five set to serve simultaneously for the first time. The breakthrough spanned both parties, even as Democrats dominated election night, while Mississippi’s still uncalled Senate race could produce another historic first👇 hungarianconservative.com/ar…

🚨Democrats scored a sweeping victory in the 2026 US midterm elections, taking control of both chambers of Congress in a night of historic upsets. Republicans suffered major losses in traditionally safe states, including South Carolina and Texas. Meanwhile, the GOP holding onto the Florida Senate and governor's seat provided President Trump's party with one of the very few bright spots👇 hungarianconservative.com/ar…

🇺🇸🔴 TEXAS FLIPS BLUE FOR THE FIRST TIME IN DECADES AS GOP SUFFERS MAJOR LOSSES A historic blow for Republicans on election night. Democrat James Talarico has defeated Trump-backed Ken Paxton in Texas, ending the GOP’s decades-long dominance of statewide elections in the Lone Star State. ‼️ Democrats have not won a statewide election in Texas since 1994, nor a US Senate race since 1988. The result is particularly striking in a state Donald Trump carried by nearly 14 percentage points just two years ago. 🔵 AND TEXAS IS NOT ALONE Democrats have now flipped FOUR Republican-held Senate seats: 🇺🇸 Texas: James Talarico defeats Ken Paxton. 🇺🇸 Ohio: Former Senator Sherrod Brown stages a comeback, defeating Republican incumbent Jon Husted. 🇺🇸 South Carolina: Annie Andrews pulls off a major upset, defeating Republican Darline Graham in a state Trump won by nearly 18 points in 2024. 🇺🇸 North Carolina: Former Democratic Governor Roy Cooper defeats Trump-backed Michael Whatley. 🏛️ THE HOUSE HAS ALSO FALLEN Major US networks project that Democrats will regain control of the House of Representatives, ending the Republican majority and opening the door to congressional investigations and increased scrutiny of the Trump administration. ⚠️ ALL EYES ON MICHIGAN With four Senate pickups, Democrats have reached the threshold needed for a majority—provided they defend every seat they already hold. In Michigan, Republican Mike Rogers is battling progressive Democrat Abdul El-Sayed for a Democratic-held open seat. The race remains too close to call, with El-Sayed’s early lead narrowing as counting continues. A Republican victory there would offset one of the Democratic pickups and keep the battle for Senate control alive. 🇺🇸 A difficult election night for the GOP, with control of the Senate still hanging in the balance.

🇺🇸🔴 HISTORY MADE IN FLORIDA: BYRON DONALDS ELECTED STATE'S FIRST BLACK GOVERNOR! A major Republican victory on election night! Congressman Byron Donalds has defeated Democrat David Jolly in Florida's gubernatorial race, becoming the first Black governor in the state's history, according to AP projections. 🇺🇸 A prominent MAGA conservative and close ally of President Donald Trump, Donalds is also set to become the first Black Republican elected governor in US history. The victory keeps the Sunshine State firmly under Republican leadership, with Donalds succeeding outgoing Governor Ron DeSantis, who transformed Florida into one of America's most prominent conservative strongholds during his eight years in office. 🔴 THE RED WALL HOLDS IN FLORIDA! Despite Democrats hoping to capitalize on growing dissatisfaction with the Trump administration, Republicans have successfully defended the governorship in the president's adopted home state. Donalds defeated former Republican congressman David Jolly, who switched parties and attempted to appeal to moderate and independent voters. His campaign ultimately failed to end more than three decades of Democratic defeats in Florida's gubernatorial elections. 📊 Donalds campaigned on continuing Florida's conservative direction, defending school choice, cutting government bureaucracy and tackling rising living costs, particularly homeowners' insurance premiums. The result provides Republicans with an important victory amid a challenging election night, as Democrats make gains in several closely watched congressional and gubernatorial contests elsewhere. Florida remains RED! 🇺🇸

🇺🇸 US MIDTERMS 2026: FIRST RESULTS ARE IN—CAN REPUBLICANS HOLD THE RED WALL? Election night is heating up across America! The first major races have been called, and while Democrats are celebrating early successes, the battle for control of Congress is far from settled. 🔴🔵 GEORGIA: Democratic Senator Jon Ossoff has won re-election, defeating Trump-endorsed Republican Mike Collins, according to AP projections. The result is a setback for Republicans, who hoped to unseat the incumbent in a state Trump carried by 2.2 percentage points in 2024. Democrats have also defended VIRGINIA, where Senator Mark Warner secured another term. ‼️ Both are Democratic holds, NOT Republican seats flipping blue. The GOP's Senate majority remains up for grabs. 📊 THE REAL BATTLE IS JUST GETTING STARTED! Republicans entered election night with a 53–47 Senate majority. Democrats need a net gain of FOUR seats to take control—and early returns from two Republican strongholds are raising eyebrows. 🔵 TEXAS: Democrat James Talarico has established a commanding early lead over Trump-backed Republican Ken Paxton, 60 to 38 per cent, with 22 per cent counted. That’s very depressing in a state Trump won by nearly 14 points in 2024 and where Democrats haven’t won a statewide election since 1994, although there is still a lot of the vote left to count. 🔵 OHIO: Former Democratic Senator Sherrod Brown is also ahead of Republican incumbent Jon Husted, 59 to 38 per cent, with 31 per cent counted. Trump won Ohio by more than 11 points just two years ago. ⚠️ DON'T CALL A BLUE WAVE JUST YET! These are early snapshots, NOT final results. Neither race has been called, and outstanding votes—including those from Republican-leaning areas—could dramatically reshape the picture. For Republicans, the crucial question is whether their traditional strongholds can withstand the Democratic challenge as more ballots are counted.

On Friday evening, policemen descended upon 12A Johann Christian Schuch Alley in Warsaw – the inconspicuous address of the constitutional tribunal, Poland's chief judicial authority on constitutional law. Dressed in riot gear, they surrounded the tribunal to force through a solution to a constitutional crisis which has been unfolding since 2015. But far from solving it, this ham-fisted attempt to finally bring the situation to a close has only deepened it instead. ✍️ Bartek Staniszewski Article | spectator.com/article/has-po…
