One of the most unstoppable dynasties in college football is built in the middle of nowhere — and now it’s headed for the FBS.
In this college football breakdown / video essay, we dive into how North Dakota State became a championship machine through dominant offensive line play in the trenches, a relentless run game identity, NFL Draft development, and one of the biggest home-field advantages in the sport: the Fargodome in Fargo, North Dakota. With the Bison making the jump from the FCS to the Mountain West, the question isn’t if they “belong” — it’s whether the Group of 5 (and the rest of the FBS) is ready for what’s coming.
If you love college football trenches, offensive line film, run game scheme, program-building, conference realignment, and what it takes to win championships, this one’s for you.
Drop a comment: how do you think North Dakota State will do in Year 1 in the Mountain West? @NDSUfootball

The @NDSUfootball Bison are tremendous representatives of our state, having developed a record of excellence through their hard work, dedication and strong leadership.
We are looking forward to honoring their achievements on April 9th with this visit to the White House, and we appreciate @POTUS and his team for working with us to make it happen. #GoBison

The City of Fargo says it wants to attract and retain top young talent. Yet, last night, (not all, but most city leaders) sent the opposite message. They denied five NDSU student-athletes—who have spent years giving back to this community—the ability to continue living in a home that 70% of their neighbors supported.
Why? Because of an outdated law from the 1950s. Not because these guys caused problems. Not because they failed to maintain their home. But because ‘rules are rules,’ even when they no longer make sense.
The message this sends is clear: If you are a young professional looking to make Fargo home, good luck.
If you believe in fairness, if you believe in keeping young leaders in this city, and if you believe in a city that actually reflects the values it claims to have, we want you with us.
More to come. Stay tuned.
The Fargo City Commission denied a final appeal from five NDSU football players to live together, upholding a city ordinance limiting unrelated roommates. inforum.com/news/fargo/fargo…
