WCMC take 1st place team in the Regional Math Competition. Two of our team members also placed 1 & 2 overall as individuals. 🎖️#1WC
Little Coffee shop & customer math convos today with 7th grade…this is the the most fun class of Rockstars! Tax,tips, discounts…we can do it!
Kids don’t love math…But watching how hard kiddos worked on the KSA math test today was great! Their effort was awesome!! ❤️ That and how much I have seen them grow this year in many ways, is all that matters to me! 🙂

47% of my kids show growth on RAW data of just % correct…so really it will be more!
All my classes show an increased overall average on this Summative Assessment!
Still a few more weeks to learn & grow….but I am proud of them!

Lots of good convos in math today as we explored the next lesson we are starting! — students asked that I take plenty of pictures….since they were demonstrating so many 5Cs! (They want them for a presentation) #1WC
Always nice to get a positive parent response to anything we do in Education! Luckily I can probably still count on just my fingers how many times it’s been the other kind of response in my 15yrs.
What it’s like teaching secondary … mainly ghost town by morning meet (13kids) and by afternoon meet (32) and several more up & working!

This is my feeling on PT conf. Day! It makes for a long day…but always a blessing for me to talk to folks about how great their kid is & the potential they have, or the growth we are seeing. ❤️ my kids!
