Katharine starts a new job tomorrow. She has “borrowed” my leopard print neckerchief and my brown leather tote. I’m not getting them back am I? 🫤

If anyone is into this kind of stuff, and don’t mind eating something made out of polystyrene, fat, and poison; well these are a bit of sauce!

Our friends have a place in Whitby; when they’re away we sometimes pinch their flat. Heaven. We have walked, drunk, eaten, admired the goths etc. Katharine has pinched my jumper, I’m in her coat, I’ve pinched her earring as I’ve lost a sleeper. Connie is very happy though.

We had a wellbeing day at work today; so I had a free hand massage. The therapist said I had very pretty hands, then told my friend who’d organised it that “everyone should have a James”. I’ve been bouncing along ever since. 🥰

Never has a new car been aimed more squarely at me! I NEED ONE!

This holds a deep truth about me, but I just mentioned that I’ve visited two different frameknitting museums. In the summer I was in Belfast during the race riots. The towns were briefly in lockdown, so I hid out in the Irish Museum of Linen where I cried at a tapestry. Bum. 🫤

We’re super lucky as we’ve got a teeny theatre over our local library, they do films a bit after they hit the Wycombe Six. Anyway, we’ve just been to watch “The Incomer“ - what a beautiful piece of work; I’d watch Domnhall Gleeson read the Yellow Pages, but what a cast. 🙌

You know when you reach a certain age you find “your look”, well mine is animal print, Birkenstock sandals or clogs, Adidas trainers, cropped jeans, wide-legged trousers, Bretons, cardigans, macs, bold scarves etc. Anyway, it transpires I dress like a middle aged German woman. 🫤

I’m in Germany for work (I LOVE it here!). I have given up trying to log the previous tenant out of their Prime account. So I am watching the new He Man movie dubbed into German with English subtitles. I don’t who they got to do Idris Elba’s German voice. But he is bob on!

I’m in Germany with work. I’m having a pint in a local bar - I didn’t enter the pub quiz as my German is okay, but not “quick fire question” okay. So far, every question is about British pop music, and they’re all getting them wrong 🫤

This little girl has made our lives immeasurably better. We don’t deserve them; I love her with every fibre of my being.
