math was the starting point for conjectures, not the limit miners now compete to make code faster, with Lean proofs that it matches the spec for every input change how it works. prove you haven't changed what it does
In our new series dedicated to algorithms, correctness is always a condition of the competition. The second challenge is now for miners to optimise float kernels. They must prove in Lean that their outputs match FloatLib and TorchLean specifications bit for bit, for every input covered by the specification. Today, the champion is 8.7× faster than the competition’s shipped reference implementation on the benchmark. The next improvement could be yours. Optimise the code, prove the same results, challenge the champion.

A year ago, most people hadn’t heard of Dendrite. @ExploitSummit felt very different. We spent a lot less time explaining who we are and a lot more time talking about what we’re building. Pretty good feeling. Beyond our own team, Bittensor feels healthy. More people building, more projects taking shape, and plenty of people who genuinely care about making the ecosystem work. @SomaSubnet kept coming up in conversations. Seeing something we’ve worked on become something people want to talk about means a lot. Top 15 already, a product I’m genuinely proud of, and we’re nowhere near done. Also, apparently we’re a merch company now. People kept asking for it. To be fair, it turned out pretty damn good. Next drop at the next conference. Proud of this crew.

“We didn’t know how to set up our first machine.” Their first reward was just 0.1 TAO. @hunter_tensor shares how @DendriteHQ got its first machine running in a basement and why he wants more people to take that first step into Bittensor mining.

Yesterday I wasn’t sure I’d even make it to Montreal. Now I’m here, very well fed by @targoncompute. Things are looking up. Thanks @the_mattyk and @0xcarro for a great dinner!

At @exploitsummit, @Const_reborn outlined his plans for Bittensor’s expansion, focusing on two main directions: bringing new demand into the network and making it easier for subnets to use each other’s products. Outward expansion would involve building bridges into Bittensor to bring new users and measuring whether subnets can attract real flow from outside the network. Internally, he introduced Gamma tokens as a new standard for usage credits designed to make cross-subnet integrations easier. Subnet owners would be able to allocate part of their emissions to acquire Gamma tokens and use products across Bittensor. Const used @SomaSubnet as an example: part of its emissions could go toward compute from @lium_io and credits from @say_gm_!

Replying to @ExploitSummit
@ExploitSummit just started! Awesome seeing Teutonic-II on the main stage during @const_reborn presentation. Hit me up if you want to chat about Teutonic, subnets, or Dendrite

Montreal doesn’t seem to want me on @ExploitSummit Heavy rain in NYC, cancelled flights, a 3-hour delay. Then the eTA system went down and they couldn’t check me in. Nice try. I’m coming anyway.

Most growing companies building on modern LLMs are quietly overpaying for context their models don't actually need. Our compressor can cut your agents token costs by 15%. At scale, that adds up to serious savings. And we’re not stopping there. Talk to our CEO, @oli_soma

If you’ve wondered what “mining Bittensor” actually means, this is your session - just before Day 2 of Exploit begins. @hunter_tensor + @hux_dendrite of @DendriteHQ take you step-by-step through choosing a subnet, understanding what validators reward, the hardware + setup involved, and getting started. Hubert has mined across 15 subnets; Dendrite has been building on Bittensor since 2022. Get ready: luma.com/1kfeefnr

Finally, we’re bringing our mining experience to @ExploitSummit! On day one, our CEO @pbarbachowski will share lessons from breaking subnets. On day two, @hunter_tensor & @hux_dendrite will show you how to become a miner and think like one. We’ll also have our own Dendrite booth. Come meet the team!

Very much agree. Older subnets had a head start and built up much larger TAO pools. That gives them a huge advantage over newer ones. This needs to be fixed before shorting goes live. Otherwise we risk wiping out new subnets while cementing the position of the old ones.
bittensor:native quality is higher past months and subnets finally start to have responsibility to deliver. But there is one point that needs attention asap, a lot of the older ‘OG’ subnets that also manipulated the IM buy buying up their own subnet to maximise incentives to eventually burn 100% for months are very hard to be dethroned due to the ADR The v2 pools need to be modified asap so that these subnets actually can properly dump as now they are backed by large tao pools which makes it impossible to dereg/dump to the bottom. Once there is a solution for this imo very urgent issue you will see a proper re ranking. This has to be done before shorting so these subnets cant hedge themselves against this scenario.

Four years of mining on Bittensor teaches you where the incentives break. On the Exploit stage, @pbarbachowski of @DendriteHQ shares lessons from the move from major miner to subnet operator: what miners exploit, where teams go wrong, and what it takes to build a sustainable subnet: luma.com/exploitsummit26

There’s no better duo to introduce you what we’re cooking in Dendrite! Must join for everyone! Gg @oli_soma @Hedgehog_AI
We started mining rig in a basement. Today, we co-develop subnets with @const_reborn and @Wejh99 and build @SomaSubnet on Bittensor. On the next Novelty Search, @Hedgehog_ai will tell our story and what it took to get here. @oli_soma will show how you can save money with SOMA if you use AI agents. Thursday :: 5PM EDT / 9PM UTC Live on YouTube and X Join us live this Thursday and bring your questions!

This Thursday on Novelty Search :: SOMA, SN114 @SomaSubnet is building a decentralized marketplace for AI services, starting with context compression. Miners compete by submitting compression algorithms that make AI workloads more efficient. Validators test & score miners on the balance between compression and retained performance.
