Together again, where they belong. ❤️ This week, Living Legends had the honour of fulfilling the late trainer Mick Burles’ final wish — to have his ashes laid to rest alongside his beloved champion, The Cleaner. Mick and The Cleaner shared an extraordinary bond, capturing the hearts of racing fans across Australia with their remarkable journey from Tasmania to the national racing stage. Before his passing in 2018, Mick expressed one final wish: that when The Cleaner’s time came, they would be reunited. Following The Cleaner’s passing in 2025, we were privileged to welcome Mick’s family and those closest to him to Living Legends for a touching ceremony, where his ashes were laid to rest beside his much-loved mate. The special occasion was also captured by Channel 9 News, sharing the story of a partnership that extended far beyond the racetrack. Our heartfelt thanks go to Mick’s family for allowing us to be part of such a meaningful moment. Two legends, reunited forever. ❤️ 📺 Watch the Channel 9 News coverage: facebook.com/share/v/19wP75i… 📰 Read more about Mick and The Cleaner’s remarkable story in Tasracing’s tribute: tasracing.com.au/news/two-le… #livinglegendsau #racingfieldofdreams #thecleaner #mickburles #lovethehorse
