I love my old mixes--this one's my favorite.
You think you're the only writer to (still) work an odd job, but then you read this by Stephen Graham Jones and feel seen:
I have a scar from getting cut by barbed wire, from getting kicked during a fight, from cutting apples, from cracking a wheel of Parmigiano-Reggiano, from an appendectomy, from sex, from a cat scratch, from smashing my finger on a car door, from various skin biopsies
...and that was when I realized that learning the recipe for a simple salad dressing would change my life forever.
Tout n'est pas si facile,
Les destins se séparent, l'amitié c'est fragile

The mood today is tres leches cake, frozen piña coladas, checking your bank account before breakfast, skateboarding in the park, and logging out of Instagram for the whole day.
The guy next to me at the Bad Bunny concert asked me where I was from/what I do. I told him I was a writer from New York. He smiled and said "That's some real New York shit right there." I asked him what he did. He sighed and said he repairs airplanes in middle-of-nowhere Jersey.
That feeling when you realize you've listened to Khruangbin's entire discography because that's 90% of what they play at your job.
You come on here and this is your daily bread. This is how you break your bread. NYC is NYC. You can move on.
