ALT Alt text: Urgent iDigBio reminder announcing that iDigBio servers at the University of Florida will permanently shut down on August 31, 2026. All images and media files currently stored on iDigBio servers will be permanently deleted. Collections must move media to another storage resource, update record links and URLs to the new location, and republish updated records to GBIF and other aggregators to maintain access. The notice also explains that the Symbiota Support Hub at the University of Kansas is working to transfer media for some active Symbiota portals. A QR code provides more information. Questions can be directed to Cat Chapman, Biodiversity Informatics Manager.
