Our new #StableLM Zephyr 3b language model is 1.6 Gb & runs at 40 tokens/s on a MacBook Air M2. That's 5x faster than most folk can read. Without internet. It's ok at doing love songs & raps on open generative AI and more, check it out 👀 More to come.. Wonder what's next 🤔
ollama run stablelm-zephyr New 3B parameter model - StableLM Zephyr! It's efficient and small. Runs fast. It has strong capabilities in generating contextually relevant, coherent, and linguistically accurate text. Thank you @StabilityAI @EMostaque and team!

1) @chamath, nice (intentional?) wink to the @OpenAI saga and their ensuing slogan;) 2) No matter what you think of him, it's clearly @TuckerCarlson who deserves the credit on this one for making @theallinpod rank so high 3) as others commented, the show is becoming more and more about politics and less about tech - which is disenfranchising some of the fans. Is this by design? While @DavidSacks 's political ambitions are clear, are there other besties with similar motivations? Or is it just a "calculation" to emulate the success of top podcasts? (looking at you, @joerogan et all😉) 4) Since we are talking politics/society: according to JCal, the overlap between the All-In Pod's and Tucker's audiences is in the high teens %. Any of the besties, with their reach, would be in a better position than me to run the following survey about the remaining 80+% of the @theallinpod fans: - what % decided to skip that episode simply because Tucker was on? (and how many new viewers did you attract thanks to him?) - of those who only knew Tucker from MSM's and @maddow's portrayals, what % changed their mind after actually listening to him? (whether in a positive or less favorable way) In fact, going forward, imho this type of poll would be interesting on all of your "political" guests. 5) @Jason and @friedberg : how did your own views of Tucker change after interviewing him? (we don't need to ask David Sacks🤣) 6) I might get in trouble for this one: @Jason, not to tease you too much more than the other members of the pod, especially @DavidSacks, did during the show but...do you seriously still consider yourself "the greatest moderator in the world"? 😉(such a pedantic title tbh, but hopefully you mean it jokingly, and don't really take yourself that seriously, right?) I'm not saying you are not, but if you were, wouldn't it be more elegant to actually not call yourself that? 😀😀 Love you guys.
The All In Podcast is nothing without its supporters. ♥️💙💜

This is getting interesting #ArtificialIntelligence @IBM @Meta @ylecun . Let's hope for true open AI (as in: open science/innovation, not as in @OpenAI ;)
Today we're announcing the AI Alliance, together with @IBM and 50+ global organizations across the industry. This group will focus on fostering open science and enabling the acceleration of responsible innovation in AI. More on the AI Alliance ➡️ bit.ly/3t3yTf3

Congrats @ednewtonrex, @EMostaque and @StabilityAI ! 👋😀
I joined @StabilityAI to build this product, so it’s amazing and slightly unbelievable to see Stable Audio named one of @TIME’s Best Inventions of 2023. Incredibly proud of the Stable Audio team, and hugely grateful for @EMostaque’s unwavering support. time.com/collection/best-inv…

There is at least one industry research lab where the leadership believes that (super)human-level AI: - is attainable - is a scientific research question, not just a question of more compute and more data. - is not "just around the corner". It will take a while. - is not an existential risk. - requires contributions from the entire research community, because no one has a monopoly on good ideas. - hence requires open source platforms and open research, because no one has a monopoly on good ideas. - is going to change human condition for the better.

Opening night at #WebSummit2023 - #ArtificialInteligence (especially #GenerativeAI) was center stage and (quite predictably) the hottest topic. Haven’t heard yet anything groundbreaking, but hey it’s only day 0 ;) @jimmy_wales (pictured below) from @Wikipedia fame, took a jab at @elonmusk, which he admitted he often does as a “crowd pleaser” - objectively (as per the public’s response), to be fair it was more like a half-crowd pleaser. Hopefully there won’t be too much polarization at the #WebSummit. Let’s have productive dialogues on #technology that builds a better future!! I’m hopeful that the event will deliver…

The #AI will still take time to solve such delicate problems as being able to detect the live transmission of a #terrorist attack. Meanwhile, the nuances that human moderation, properly trained, can provide.
