LIVE | "Today, the biggest constraint to growth of every business is finding skilled manpower," said Dr @ShamikaRavi, Member, Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister, addressing the launch of iFOREST's national report, India's Green Economy Workforce. She pointed to a paradox in India's labour market: unemployment among college graduates is close to 12%, against a national average of around 3.3%. "We have degrees. We don't have skill. The market is now saying, we will reward only skill." On the report, she said, "Reports like this become extremely important for the government to then design and implement highly localised policies based on economic intelligence.
